If you live in the UK, this is all you can play with 😩

The pistol already stopped working, after shooting less than 500 times with it 😂

It's been just over 40 days, since I injured my knee while sparring.

Meniscus tears are no joke, especially if you're not a teenager anymore.

The knee feels much better now, but I'm hesitant to get back to training, as I still can't fully stretch the leg and it does hurt, after walking for 20-30 minutes.

My plan is to get back in the gym just to punch the bag and regain some stamina, before re-joining the #muaythai class.

Do as much as I feel the leg can take and slowly incorporate some kicks.

My main worry is that I'll throw a kick, which requires I pivot on the leg with the injured knee, and something goes wrong.

How would you deal with this and get back to training?

I wouldn't be buying food waste. I would collect it from local shops or restaurants and have the larvae eat it.

Yes, you need to be careful not to feed them large quantities of ultra-processed foods, but that can be done.

Also, when it comes to transmitting disease:

"Black soldier fly larvae do not transmit diseases because they do not bite, sting, or act as vectors, and their digestive system effectively breaks down pathogens in the waste they consume. Additionally, they have a short lifespan and do not survive past their larval stage in food processing environments, minimizing contamination risks."

I've had this business idea for a few years now and I'd like to get serious about it.

It has the potential to have multiple streams of income, because the operations complement each other very nicely.

The elevator pitch sounds something like this:

"We turn restaurant food waste into value by raising pasture-raised chickens on a natural diet of black soldier fly larvae. This sustainable approach not only reduces waste but also produces high-quality eggs, meat, and organic fertilizer."

Problems solved:

1. Sell high quality eggs from pasture-raised chickens that aren't fed fiat food.

2. Reduce the amount of food waste that ends up in landfills, which releases methane, thereby reducing methane

emissions.

3. Turn a waste product into 2 valuable commodities, which are larvae that can be fed to chickens and nutrient-rich organic fertilizer for plants.

The thought process:

Basically, we can't eat waste food, and chickens shouldn't be fed that either.

But black soldier fly larvae can. We can't or shouldn't eat bugs, but chickens do and should, and they're a perfect supplement food for them.

We can and should eat eggs and chicken meat, especially from pasture-raised chickens.

The nutrient-rich organic fertilizer, which is a byproduct of the larvae consuming the waste food, is perfect for helping restore the land where the chickens graze.

Revenue streams from selling

1. Premium eggs

2. Nutrient-rich organic fertilizer

3. Chicken meat (spent hens) for human or animal consumption.

This is an outline of my vision. Hopefully I did a good job in communicating that.

Would like to do this in Greece, by the way, where I plan to move in the near future, as I have family and connections there.
