And also the word pleb, I agree, it doesn’t feel great to be called a pleb. It feels like shitty college frat hazing, it’s slightly better than neo-Luddite or whatever but not great.
I agree with everything you’re saying about this stuff as a newbie who is losing interest in this place and I only keep coming back at this point because it feels like a puzzle I can’t crack. And I don’t like that. So I’ve been trying to crack it. But I leave frustrated and exhausted most times.
Yeah, I wish it wasn’t so monotonous and it feels like other talk is tolerated because they want to call you in so eventually they’ll convince you to talk about bitcoin only instead of other things. Idk. It just bums me out.
The negativity around people who aren’t all about bitcoin, the “shitcoin” stuff, the constant frustration posts about of people liking things vs zapping, and just general animosity towards non bitcoin stuff. Being called pleb feels like a mean thing. I see a bunch of posts like “the bitcoin community is super nice and welcoming” and yes it feels true about some people in the community but with others it feels only true if you want to only talk about bitcoin just based on their posts.
Idk it’s a bummer. It makes me feel sad.
I’m also feeling sad and tired so idk. Maybe I just need to be in a different headspace but idk.
Idk about this place. I keep seeing so much that bums me out. And everything being so bitcoin centric is…exhausting.
I am wiped! Had a few late nights this weekend. One because we watched creator clash 2. Reminded me I miss watching UFC and boxing matches.
