why would you sell the best thing to buy more of the worst thing? I rebalance by progressively selling more of my stocks bonds and real estate and buying more bitcoin.

I quit my last job to get access to my 401k, turned it into corn. I was sick of giving money to people I didn’t know to buy financial products I didn’t like and had no control over. I also think there is a non zero chance failing governments will steal pension/retirement funds/superannuation to bail themselves out.
Bitcoin up 160% year to date…… so far.
But if I spend my bitcoin directly on goods and services there’s no capital gains going to be paid. The only reason assets are appreciating to get taxed is bloody inflation anyway.

I had a friend ask to loan some money for a business opportunity. I told him sure, the interest rate is 130% pa because that’s what I’m getting in bitcoin right now. I think that one of the great things about bitcoin is that worthless shit is going to stop being funded. If you don’t strongly believe in it or it doesn’t make sense no bitcoin for you.
