As now I officially have 1.5x the number of followers than I had on Twitter.
From literally day 1 I have more engagement here, than I ever had on Facebook even with ca. 10x the number of "friends" over there and having my profile and posting (albeit irrerularly) for over 14 years.
To me, Nostr is a success right now. It may get bigger and better over time, but if it stayed exactly the same as it is now, I would still be happy.

Těžká závist. Mě uteklo nádherné aero asi o 20 minut. Tak mám místo něj jen obyčejný skleník 2.3t v sedanu.
Kdejaká technopárty ne. Skutečně dobrý záznamy a afrermovie mívají akorát velké fesťáky typu Let it Roll, nebo Tomorrowland. Tu a tam se stane, že mají docela dobrý záznam i nějaké menší akce, ale to je spíše výjimka.
Couldn't this be solved by introducing a financial (dis)incentive system?
I could imagine a system where you pay very little for casting a balanced review and you pay extra for casting a very positive or negative review. Cost per review would have to be adjusted according to product price. (perhaps a percantage of average market price?)
This introduces cost to everyone and increasing cost to both fake positive teviews and negative review bombing thus making it less likely. This cost for reviewers could be mitigated via zaps or zap-like alternatives for actually helpful reviews, which, if actually helpful could even be profitable for the reviewer.
If needed it could be coupled with (some parts of) reputation systems like the one on Stack Overflow.

It is a known, soon to be fixed, bug on plebstr. It happens when you hit the reply button, give up mid writing and return to timeline without sending it. The next time you want to reply to smth, the reply becomes headless as you say.
To avoid this, if you dont want to send a reply you already started writing, leave the screen via the x button in top left corner instead of relying on native back button.

I have been wondering about the scaling issue. Nostr is afaik perfectly capable of scaling in theory, however what I am missing is an incentive to run relays. They are neccessary for scaling yet except for paranoia I don't see any reason why new relays should pop up, I don't see an incentive for that. Is there something I am missing here?
No, ano i ne. Poté, co zpoplatnili API hodně řešení přešlo na scraping, což právě vedlo (dle vyjádření Elona) k zavedení těch limitů.
Nikdy tomu nedokážou zabránit úplně. ale mohou to pořád ztěžovat a dělat nepříjemné/náročné.
Technicky to jde, problém je, že tím chčiješ proti větru, bo to je právě to, s čím teď Twitter nejvíc válčí. To znamená. že bude často měnit a ztěžovat způsoby jakými to jde a ty budeš muset řešení neustále upravovat, aby fungovalo i zítra.
Počkej, co se jim na tom nelíbí? Nelíbí se jim tepláky, nebo mají pocit, že děti nejsou lidi?
