There are many reasons to build on Nostr, but to me the main one is the fact that we don't have a central codebase anywhere.

If nostr:npub180cvv07tjdrrgpa0j7j7tmnyl2yr6yr7l8j4s3evf6u64th6gkwsyjh6w6 had said "this is nostr and here is my library you all should use", I would have never done anything in Nostr.

Amethyst, Primal, Coracle, NoStrudel, and Damus and many other apps before and after us are all built from scratch.

No vendor lock in. No centralized dependencies. No core choke point to kill it all together.

True decentralization is hard. But it is worth every penny.

It's more decentralized than bitcoin

Why rust is so fast in android ? It doesn't use the same native primitive as kotlin or it has access to lower lever primitive ?

running https://github.com/daywalker90/cln-nip47 with a wireguard relay. this allows me to use my lightning node for zapping. the wireguard relay ensures its completely secure end to end. #NWC rocks.

I can do this without wireguard, by simply using https://github.com/getAlby/nostr-wallet-connect

There is already albyhub, it's even non-custodial but you need to manage channel yourself so it's not user-friendly and not plug and play.

Fish is some much better, i use it on my arch laptop, but i'm'always scare to install it on my server. Because then it will become an habit.

I will not able to use vanilla bash anymore. Do you know zoxyde ?

Hello world, i'm wrting this from damus on my archlinux

It's open source so we can add lightning address/nostr account, and zap to winner when the game end.
