More devastating news for those who gaslight Bitcoin as supposedly being bad for the environment: bitcoin mining has now been shown to allow solar farms to achieve ROI twice as fast. They use these profits to extend their solar farms.

Galaxy Digital, Hut8, Core Scientific, Hive, TeraWulf, BitDigital all now playing in the AI space. Riot providing hosting for AI.

Yes.

As Reagan once said

“the most terrifying nine words in the English language are “I’m from the government, and I’m here to help””

Yes they can absolutely work together. When electricity prices are high, use battery. When it’s low, power up batteries for four hour discharge to mine bitcoin. The rest of the time mine bitcoin directly. More arbitrage options with batteries + bitcoin together. And because batteries have a limited storage and discharge capacity,

If you’re a renewable energy generator you have three options - use to sell to grid when prices high. Use for battery and bitcoin mining when prices are low.

Nostr is rebellion against soft-core censorship

A social media algorithm works by stealth, nontransparent yet all-pervasive. It is an online social credit system, rewarding our adherence to the swimlane of our core social identity, penalizing exploration of our other dimensions not with fines or overt punishment but with the sound of crickets. Movement outside that swimlane, self-exploration or investigation of themes our inherently multidimensional self are rewarded with the soft-core censorship.

It’s not that certain messages are switched off, more that an invisible hand turns down the volume that the ear of others can nearly hear.

Soft-core censorship is as insidious as actual censorship because, through its subtlety, it often skips unnoticed.

Nostr represents rebellion against the very notion of a single core identity or personality beyond which we are invisibly encouraged not to stray, explore or honor.

There is no hidden agenda to keep you on the app. No punishment for linking to links outside the app, nor of speaking about things for which you are not “known”

It is imperfect, new, raw, intimate in ways good and bad, like the bulletin boards of the early 90s. But for all it’s teething pains, I believe it’s rebellion against soft-core censorship is as valuable as it’s rebellion against censorship and centralization itself.

Cool.

SKY breathing (sudarshan kriya & yoga breathing) is amazing for that (and other things). I used to get panic attacks, so I really noticed a big difference after doing it - I stopped having them completely. Courses are affordable too and they run in most centres around the world. You can find them at www.artofliving.org. The introductory course where you learn SKY breathing is called “The Happiness Program”

I tried Wim Hof also as well as another couple. They were all good. Wim Hof I found the best at increasing physical endurance. But I was looking more for something to enhance what you might call “executive function” (decision making, focus, concentration, empathy, deeper meditations, general ability to be a calm captain in the face of any weather). For that I found Art of Living’s sky breathing to be the most effective.

Good bifurcation!

Twitter’s algo derates most of your authentic thoughts, because they are outside the swimlane of the content hat maps onto who it believes is who you are. But it’s still very useful.

One of my clients coaches the CEOs and leadership teams of brand name companies and also a state governor.

Last week he came to Costa Rica for three day to do some intensive one on one work with me.

He had a list of plans to work through, but my intuition was telling me “Nah. He doesn’t know it, but what he needs is some breathwork.” So we spent 80% of the time on the breathwork and then afterwards he found he knew most of the answers on his year planning anyway, so we just crystallised a few things.

We just got on a debrief call I asked how his week had been. He said this:

“My meditations are more intense, deeper, and can go into it faster.

I'm calmer. It's like everything has a new color in the world and

My perceptions with other people are heightened. I can notice energy when someone's energy is "off" but I also feel free from the need to try to change that..

When someone in my team didn't complete a job the way I'd intended I found I didn't feel let down or angry or disappointed any more, I could see my part better too - where I hadn't communicated clearly. I knew what to do so that we corrected things without him feeling he'd failed.

It's strange, it's like I'm trying to understand my new superpower.

People have been asking me "Aren't your tired?" I have been telling everyone "No I'm so energized! Even after after 4 back to back long flights."”

I’ve been teaching breathwork using SKY breathing (Art of Liviing) and I never get tired of hearing feedback like this.

Breathwork and meditation is a lot like bitcoin. Most people don’t use it, most people don’t think they need it, most people are looking for solutions around the edges without seeing the root cause, but it’s the best of its kind.

No good AI therapy as yet. Because so much of what’s effective has been shown to be qualities that AI cannot mimick. Though it’s possible AI can assist in goal setting.

When I was at my lowest ebb of live I went through 9 months of therapy. Which helped. Then I did a four day breathwork/meditation retreat. I found it 10x more effective than the 9 months of therapy. It also cost a lot less. I ended the therapy the next week with thanks for his service which had still been useful. Never looked back, and the symptoms of anxiety and depression I had never returned.

Secret time: the philosopher I based my approach to helping shift the Bitcoin&Energy narrative was Bruce Lee

For 10 years I coached entrepreneurs and CEOs to pitch. Bitcoin gave me the chance to step back in the ring.

People have been asking me to open source the ways I’ve used to orangepill the large swathe of people who have swallowed the FUD and have environmental / “it’s used by criminals” type reservations about bitcoin.

This is most of the early majority. AKA: the next wave of adopters.

This week I finally was able to clear some space and write it up, so here it is.

Enjoy!

Turns out if you are angry, venting doesn’t help reduce it and nor does exercise, in fact both may increase it.

(Ohio State University meta-study that analyzed 154 studies on anger)

What did the study find worked? slow yoga, breathing exercises and meditation.

It’s a great project. And I know a few plebs have done something similar. Anyone else here on Nostr had experiences using miners to heat their home during the winter months in the way described below? nostr:note1ew5c7smuu4jh0ccl2w9xparxxv8uzt7utzw59pp0msfl3uffudtq2pzhun
