Great blog post by 0xB10C about F2Pool transaction filtering. It also goes into detail about how other pools were _not_ filtering these transactions, even though they sometimes didn't mine them. My favourite chart goes extra deep into the rabbit hole of Bitcoin Core block construction.

Have you already tried mining to our nostr:npub1qvwdl9rp7a5ghrxv57wnml5ehg2whjh708vys6kaxpkgu0z3aclsuy2h4p DATUM instance. It’s not far from you 😉🤓
Bad link: better use this one from 42:00:
And for people who like to watch that interview, it’s from 8 months ago. Tune in after 33:00:

Currently I'm working on a way to exit the fiat subscription of Discord.
You might know that we at OSMU do have our own Discord Server which acts as our main platform for sharing our knowledge despite having osmu.wiki and osmu.xyz and all our GitHub repos.
One issue that I discovered is that we tend to stick too much to fiat. Me as being one of the leading roles of OSMU decided to stop this fuckerino of having subscriptions (or you can call them donations) on Discord.
BUT of course this is a valuable donation and income for ongoing development on mining hardware, so we need something to replace.
Luckily I knew that nostr:nprofile1qyt8wumn8ghj7etyv4hzumn0wd68ytnvv9hxgtcppemhxue69uhkummn9ekx7mp0qydhwumn8ghj7mn0wd68ytf39ehxymewv9hxwctwdyhxxmcpr4mhxue69uhkummnw3ez6ur4vgh8wetvd3hhyer9wghxuet5qy08wumn8ghj7mn0wd68yttsw43zuam9d3kx7unyv4ezumn9wshszynhwden5te0wp6hyurvv4cxzeewv4esz9rhwden5te0wfjkccte9ejxzmt4wvhxjmcpz4mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuerpd46hxtnfduhsz9nhwden5te0wfjkccte9ehx7um5wghxyctwvsq3wamnwvaz7tmjv4kxz7fwdehhxarj9e3xzmny9uq3vamnwvaz7tmjv4kxz7fwwpexjmtpdshxuet5qyvhwumn8ghj7un9d3shjtnndehhyapwwdhkx6tpdshsqgzx2l0739jmazvq4yc8908mtev6v5fygpkmp7qey90w0zay0y6t8ccesg0j does have created BitcoinWalletConnect, which is on it's own an awesome feature to use NWC, the issue is it does not come natively with a recurring plan function, or at least not straight up ;-)
Luckily Alby was also working on ZapPlanner (https://zapplanner.albylabs.com/) and know I'm feeling thrown back again to the roots. But I learned a ton using nwc and the BitcoinConnect feature.
Until I'm done with a new truely decentralized bitcoin way of subscribing to OSMU there is nothing for you to do than waiting ;-)
PS: If any of you is knowledgeable in Alby's tools and want to help on developing feel free to reach out :-*

The US is on the track of “everyone for themselves and god for all”.
When the last physical interview between Klaas Knot (dutch central bank and head of the global financial stability board) and Jerome Powell took place there was clear tension between the two. According to Powell central banks should not mingle with sustainability and diversity, focus on your core task of price stability.
However, after the financial crisis it was made clear that no saving of banks would take place anymore. But in the US this happened anyway (SVB etc), against what was agreed upon. Now the battle for money is really starting to kick off and it’s clear the scamming will only increase.
This guy dances the same as his material. Great guy.

Japanese tv is so much fun. They are still coming to see the tulip bubble 🌷 🫧. I’ve decided to use a new standard answer:
“Bitcoin is tulips, crypto is the bubble”

This one folded on us… what a pain with all these fiat shipments these days… 😉

Can you explain “pledging your bitcoin as collateral”. What does the exchange require? If the exchange has any control over the bitcoin you’re at major risk.
You can’t apply for a job at the Dutch secret service without notifying Google 😂 👇

Helped thousands of people to self custody properly. Helped thousands of people to mine bitcoin. Educated thousands of people through bitcoin books…
Planted a seed for tens of thousands of people on the local market with my bitcoin stand over the years. Advertised in local newspapers with bitcoin memes.
Advertised on x for over a million viewers with bitcoin memes.
Will not stop until we reach the goal.

GM. Bitcoin hodler and Noderunner of #878178. You are partially staying warm with bitcoin heat. When you grow old you will not comprehend this. Especially we’re pumping sats over this platform like there’s no tomorrow. It’s still the early days for bitcoin as money… we have to win for the next generations to come. It’s either freedom or dystopia.

When I built the first website with html in notepad nobody was visiting the website until google started. We’ve never advertised but pop up in search because we’ve been there so long. And 99% of the people do search with google, still….
This is the current state of the EU. I’m helping my sister to get a photo back online.

Lopp, great material.

On Sunday you learn about money: https://web.math.princeton.edu/jfnj/texts_and_graphics/Main.Content/IDEAL_MONEY.../Older/PENN_STATE/babu.money.b.pdf

If people are still using vonets, read this:

VPN with DAITA on in Mullvad also slows down quite a bit 😂
Support the direction of decentralized socials. Are you right, most likely. But being able to zap might become a big game changer. You might get a Nostr profile, because when it catches on, it actually is a great gateway to truly use internet money for socials.
Took both Damus purple for nostr:npub1qvwdl9rp7a5ghrxv57wnml5ehg2whjh708vys6kaxpkgu0z3aclsuy2h4p and primal legend for my personal profile. I do believe this network has sufficient freedom to be used in the proper way. An easy gateway into it through more centralized platforms is exactly how bitcoin works currently.
People use an exchange. They don’t buy a node, a hardware wallet and do a peer to peer transfer. They need a gateway. Primal, Damus etc will be the gateway. And if we don’t meet people where they are, the number of us will simply decline. The amazing technology of bitcoin micropayments needs to be spread far and wide. Supporting platforms that make it accessible easily is key, for now.
Happy new year from clog country
What should nostr:npub1qvwdl9rp7a5ghrxv57wnml5ehg2whjh708vys6kaxpkgu0z3aclsuy2h4p focus on in 2025?
We will start listing:
Bitaxe specials
Bitchimney
Node builds
Anything else the EU pleb would love to see?

Important. You can join the network with an old laptop. No need for fancy stuff. Educate yourself, do the proof of work.
It’s almost a year ago (jan3) I was able to do the first interview about the best bitcoin book written. And I would like to wish nostr:npub1art8cs66ffvnqns5zs5qa9fwlctmusj5lj38j94lv0ulw0j54wjqhpm0w5 a merry Xmas and happy new year. This was a highlight for me.
You to Johan! It’s going to be an interesting 2025!
The planning is to start informing broader on the need to use bitcoin. This means education:
Podcasts, explainers on text & video, more educational material, workshops.
We will start selling:
- a new pre installed node
- bitaxe specials
- new options for self custody (like portal)
We will keep on funding:
- open source development on bitcoin in the form of open source mining, Nostr, software
- workshops and educators
Due to more expensive excess electricity and optimizing battery output with renewable installations we are also aiming at installing more miners where it’ll make sense. Also on the home mining perspective we’ll keep pushing new products that are a game changer.
