#[4]â this photo doesnât preview in a Damus, maybe because of emoji?
Definitely donât need frames all the way around. Copy Apollo/Reddit and nest like their comments
Also would be awesome to be able to swipe draft down to a minimized bar so I can use the app behind it to find note IDs and research and stuff while composing post
Wonât there be a Streisand effect too where some relays will extra not delete things theyâre told to?
Fix request: allow mentioning profiles anywhere in the draft not just at the end of current text block, if you go back up to edit something and try to add a npub/mention it doesnât work, at least it doesnât search for them and visually doesnât show itâs recognizing a mention.
#[6]â have you any interest in this feature? Iâll pay if you post the bounty. Still just not confident that email-tied accounts can be truly private, so not going there myself. SimpleLoginâs terms donât convince me and Iâm not opening a new unique crypto funded email account for each new service I use. Big brain I guess would be bounty for nostr based bounties haha
Obtainium android app recently added pure black theme, still hoping for something like this in amethyst #[2]â https://nostr.build/av/nostr.build_1794316fab87834a62dbbfed7d407d9f71630ce413c0ae469d1b99456685c1a4.mov
Youâve taken to worshiping property rights as the only ethics. Because no violation has occurred in this regard, you robotically calculate yourself as harming no one. Despite this view, your actions directly harm the privacy of users and therefore indirectly harm other individuals. You may be comfortable being one step removed, but Iâm not, you stink with a selfish rot, and like TC I donât believe it will save you in the end. Please reconsider the wider impact of your choices.
Ah! So defaults with clear descriptions and easy UX to change coordinators is never going to happen! Doing so would defeat the purpose, akin to TC. Your arguments just became that much harder to steelman :(
Cc: #[6]â I donât think this can be resolved anymore. Answer to why other options arenât being offered to users^
But like⌠it didnât help tornado cash to pre-regulate themselves, why do you think this is actually the best path for wasabi? Is it simply a self preservation attempt because identities are known? Itâs just confusing why this course is being taken, youâre trusting CA firms to not abuse this data you feed them in the future and they will do it or be compelled to, if not already. Itâs marking you with the same stink.
Also, not super clear to me what risks are introduced by whirlpool coordinator being centralized and/or how they plan to address it with the decentralized things being built, they donât seem too good at/interested in explaining things to non dev types.

Current understanding is thereâs a risk they could know who the other utxos in a mix belong to because people use their node, so it introduces a similar problem like wasabi has if not reaaaaaally knowing how many rounds of mixing is enough to truly guarantee privacy even from them. #[2]

Assuming the most generous take for wasabi, that being you can allegedly run your own coordinator or that there are alternative non censoring ones available, how true is this, how much liquidity is there really outside of ZK.
Also highlighting the defaults presented to the user, including ease of running or understanding what running your own dojo/electrs means for privacy as described by the software. For wasabi, what are defaults and how easy are they to change. If you need to modify a config file to escape censors, thatâs not good enough. If theyâre serious about their defense, the software should be very upfront on coordinator choice and tradeoffs and make it easy to choose.
Also of note, testnet whirlpool has very low liquidity and doesnât offer a great experience to actually trial using the tools, could be easily rectified with a few more people remixing testnet coins (in each pool!).
Good to know! Didnât realize you werenât trying to build the best desktop nostr client, it came highly recommended but noted, Iâll stop recommending!
Reddit (specifically Apollo) also has great threading and collapsing UI for comments, which needs help on nostr desperately:

The experimental support for SimpleX File Transfer Protocol to send videos and large files up to 1gb is now available!
See this post about XFTP: https://simplex.chat/blog/20230301-simplex-file-transfer-protocol.html
On my fast internet it takes 3 sec to send 25mb and 2 min to send 1gb.
Please note: currently the network settings are not used for sending files - it will be improved in the next version.
This version also fixes many bugs, in particular the bugs specific to ARMv7a 32bit devices.

#[1] do you think gossip could support next gen private files transfers with something like #[0] ? Thanks!
