Nah, Elon just bought it for you. He thinks people will stop blocking blue checks by doing this to prominent people.

Sometimes I get DMs asking if I want to open a balanced channel. It’s interesting that if I say no, the person doesn’t open to me anyway. If you don’t think my node is a good peer, why offer the balanced channel? If you just want inbound, I’ll sell it to you and you don’t need to lock up any funds.

IMO, People like the bigger channel capacity and starting off balanced. Getting free inbound is a plus.
