A lot of people still wear them here in Portland & it's really quite annoying.
"FFS - get HODLs cock out of your mouth!"
This is why you got Yawn as a reply to your earlier comment. Really low IQ stuff, dumb, thoughtless & boring 🙄
Ffs calm down. There were lots of peeps that used to rag on the Samurai team for a long time & all Hodl has done is point out that some of those people are supporting Samurai on this government closure and the arrests. Go take your medicine or go for walk & chill the fuck out.
Let me know if you think Lyn's remarks on financial privacy vs money laundering are a hot take

Dunno about that, I don't see bankers getting arrested for helping their billionaire clients improve their financial privacy
Do you remember the Panama papers? Are you aware of how the truly rich launder their money? It's all through the banks and the banks at the very most are given a slap on the wrist, no arrests of managenent, no prison sentences. The real reason the govt are after Samaurai is because it's bitcoin which is not under their control. Privacy isn't illegal though you are probably the sort to say "I have nothing to hide" and welcome any & all government surveillance they impose on us.

Yeah I can agree with you on that.
It's about Whirlpool, their coinjoing feature
Damn. No doubt those charges are wildly trumped up but it was inevitable the gov't was going to go after them at some point. I imagine they have a hefty amount saved up for legal fees ready for something like this, they must know that they would be targeted.
Not a lot of difference between them, just details. Both support big wars, mass surveillance, they cater to lobbyists & are most concerned about their political careers. I'll vote local in November but that's as far as it goes
Yes the white paper does say that but in practical terms that's just not the case. If it was we'd use it that way but it's not possible. Obviously it can never be done on the base layer so until a Layer 2 solution is built that allows for large scale transactions to work fast & easily it won't be used as digital cash equivalent to fiat. It will be years if not decades before that happens, if it ever does. That's why in countries that have weak currencies & high inflation people use stablecoins, they are more equivalent to using cash than bitcoin.
Travel memoir in the works!
It kinda isn't used as money though. Until a Layer 2 (or 3 or 4...) solution is created that actually works it won't be used as money & will remain as digital gold used for saving. What percentage of people who own bitcoin use it as money?
Control of the network.
Marty Bent has a podcast on this subject today with the title Bitcoin Mining Pools are Critically Centralized. His guest is a well known bitcoin developer. I haven't listened to it yet but it's in my dowloads. Here it is if you want to check it out:

Yeah but you thought it was going to $300k a few years ago so she shouldn't take any notice of your predictions, we haven't even hit $75k 😂
So that's it? Money alone dictates whether you are succesful or not? What about if you are doing important or meaningful things but don't have a lot of money?
