I like Bitcoin

The electricity price was high last night so the miner stayed off, automatically.

In Australia, residents can access wholesale (variable) electricity pricing. I've been working with someone to:

1. Mine more sats per day.

2. Cost less in electricity per day.

This was done by making these 3 changes:

A. Switching to a wholesale rate electricity provider (Amber Electric).

B. Turning the miner on and off based on power price

C. Automation

He BUILT the animation software from scratch, for his videos🤯🤯

Where are my #austrich home miners? If you have solar power, or know about Amber Electric and wholesale power pricing, you might like what I've been tinkering with.

Details soon as I finalise testing

But if you are gonna do hosted mining (or already are), yes you can use Ocean.

Unpopular opinion. "Solo mining" is not solo mining.

Saves money and space on a frame spinner. And less mess (usually!)

Good luck!

After the queen gets settled, you could wind back the inspections. Smoke disturbs their honey gathering, plus they have to reseal the gaps, and you inevitably squash a few 🙊

hey nostr:npub1jf093k8ayzwe4pyelpcf4jpd4nxj6hygf2xgxercu6y099jsazdqt9w2uw would one of these be suitable in a suburban backyard? would love a hive but worried about the neighbors

Mine is suburban and I have never had complaints. A few bees do get attracted to my back porch light every night, which kinda sucks.

I have requeened and left it to nature and I have never noticed the difference. Sounds like it is time for your queen to move on though. If they are quiet, I'd leave it to nature and hope the old queen doesn't take a swarm. Have they got plenty of space?
