I also selfhosted Immich and it is a very nice piece of software.
However, just use ente and do not need to selfhost is more convenient for me. Since ente is opensource and zero knowledge, I trust them with my data (up to a certain extend).
I use ente now for almost a year and can fullyrecommende it. No BS, easy to use, zero-knowledge encrypted, reliable and constantly improving.
