I don't completely disagree, but I do question if it is sugar itself, or if it is the chemicals and pprocedures used to make it. Glyphosates, industrial chemicals, and machinery seem more at fault to me. Just like when someone with a gluten allergy visits Europe and eats grains doesn't experience the intolerance they did when eating the same food in the U.S.
Yes meat can be good, but our food industry is entirely bad. Soy fed beef can be just as bad for you as sugar. Grass fed, grass finished, pasture raised beef is definitely what will make you healthy.

The original organizers of a group want to remain in control of the medium, regardless of what the medium is. Which means that even if you built the alternative yourself, they won't bite, because they are no longer in control. You are. And when leaders are comfortable with the levers of control they have over one medium, they typically aren't incentivized to learn how to use alternative mediums either.
Basically, changing the medium of an organizing unit is a guaranteed struggle session. At best, you might be able to set up parallel mediums that some fraction of the org elects to use in addition to the medium under the control of the leadership.
