when i first joined, nostr was a place of varying opinions. and yet even people with the most extreme positions on any given issue were mostly willing to just be cool with opposing viewpoints and agree to disagree. now it seems like, as time goes on, people are becoming more insulated and defensive and hostile to opposing views. basically the opposite of what attracted me to nostr in the first place. like i said, i need to curate my feed better, but it just seems like nostr is beginning to suffer from a lot of the shit that makes other social media so repulsive to me.
