Living on edge is good, being a fool is easier.

My Argentinan visa was pending approval and I took the flight. I was denied entry. And now am being sent back to El Salvador.

I wasted time and energy.

The most stressful 30 hours of my life.

As I type this I have security with me. I am under his control.

Land borders are easier than airports! That's why I was able to travel around Africa with ease.

No Labitconf for me this year.

What you see here is an amalgamation of 100 hours of life time, 8 different pencils, a piece of drawing cardboard and a lot of passion for Bitcoin.

I am getting close to giving a more detailed assessment on Israel/Hamas, as it drags on.

And it will probably be Nostr-only since other platforms can’t handle it. It is too polarized. Everyone is tunnel-visioned.

My husband is currently in Cairo dealing with some property work we are doing for our extended family. They are only 250 miles from the problem, and Egypt’s acute currency crisis brings it closer to home if military or refugee shit hits the fan. Most of my extended family is geopolitically or financially close to the Israel/Gaza issue and is Muslim. I am thus both close and far from the issue. And I grew up in the US in a diverse region with Jewish and Muslim peers, but more-so Jewish overall.

Suffice to say, I don’t want civilians on either side to suffer or die. I am pro-humanity first and foremost.

Before I give my eventual analysis, I am happy to see Nostr comments on the issue. What are your thoughts and questions on the topic? What would you like to see addressed from a diverse or as non-biased source as possible?

One of the big debates is whether the halving is the key driver of bitcoin price action or whether it is macro forces like liquidity.

Of course, I think both are important. Supply halvings and the HODL wave represent the supply side and how many coins are available or tightly held. Liquidity is the main driver of new, external demand, and it makes sense that bitcoin's price is highly correlated with the global money supply. And then of course there are other variables as well, including overall UX/accessibility of the network for more and more types of capital to easily come in and to *want* to come in.

It's a mistake to assume for sure that any one variable drives markets, like the universe owes you a bull market just because the halving happens. Although like prior times, my assumption is that we'll have another positive liquidity cycle after the halving, and so the debate will likely live on for another epoch.

I would prefer a #ColdCard (America/Kanada) or a #BitBox (Europe)

This entire game is about energy preservation & appreciation of your purchasing power, over medium/long periods of time. Strip all of the economic & financial dogma away, and keep it simple:

Technology is more advanced than ever, yet prices keep going up, as more units of currency perpetuate the system; it never ends.

The idea of an absolutely scarce monetary asset with supply inelasticity relative to demand, tied directly to energy markets with an ever increasing marginal production cost, is so profound, that most dismiss it outright; are repulsed by it even. It breaks worldviews.

A majority of people are so comfortably dependent on the incumbent system, that they will decide defend a ticking time bomb.

A small minority understand the system as it exists from within, yet defend it for reasons of self interest and greed; dishonorable but understandable given the incentives.

The rest are useful idiots, defending the system while being exploited by its very existence. This cohort is definitively in the blast radius, due to their own sheer ignorance and/or incompetence.

On the other side, there exists an intransigent and uncompromising minority of people who have come to understand the ultimate reality of both systems. Economic game theory and a desire for a different rules based order leads them to simply just leave to start playing a different game entirely.
