Don't confuse having integrity with having authority. I doubt those abusing this assumption are confused about it, themselves.
Promoting journalism and the history of government and corporate operations to influence the American population, and the context of each subsequent incident, should be a more mainstream competency. Having a healthy, reasonable working model of society's logistics helps inhibit knee-jerk participation. A mainstream community exhibiting these things would hopefully make it less attractive to jump on any bandwagon that comes by.

Watching "Missing 411" videos and wishing there were better illustrations and background investigations into people surrounding the missing persons, because I'm thinking of the motives for covering up foul play or potential profit in failure.
I'm trying Nostr. Lots of lightning eye avatars, rhetorical optimism for free speech, and lust for bitcoin. Would love to find investigative journalists, fun and interesting streamers and content creators, and people into spreading awareness about human rights issues.
If instead, open protocols protected the agency of people to speak for themselves, among themselves, and find authenticity, humanism, and compassion, exploited people could stop being shattered into a million pieces and scattered to the wind and having to defer to everything and everyone with more power and resources to narrate their existence as an extension of external priorities... People could directly help one another, move laterally, resolve problems, and approach a dispute with their government and society with more leverage with alternatives that industries, elites, and government withhold. I imagine open protocols by itself doesn't really remove the possibility for people with an incentive to taking any material advantage to destroy opposition whom they already have in a vulnerable position. If we get leverage out of peoples' way, their freedom to excel is instead what threatens and hold their governments responsible, and renders them obsolete, where willing people set the conversation when innoculated against manipulation and obstructions.
