Iโ€™m editing the fantasy novel in December to sell for sats via nostr:npub1creatr06r4vr7rzx22f4kawdfj82yt09vw5rqw0kan8sr43h608s3dfeh6 in January.

I have 2 microfiction collections out (currently only in fiat, also selling for sats next year) over here: https://heidi2524.com/stories

Thanks for asking about my writing! ๐Ÿซ‚

No. Iโ€™ve done it twice in the past. Great way to get a very rough draft out. I tend to edit as I go, so Iโ€™m a slow writer for novels.

So cool! I want to make a tarot deck someday. Are you doing both Arcana? Are you going to have them printed as a deck? You could probably find someone here to help you write the guidebook.

Iโ€™m really good at Hue and Saturation. Once it gets to the color schemes (Complementary, Analog, etc.) I need waaay more time. ๐Ÿ˜…

Thank you! Itโ€™s called โ€˜Duskโ€™ and the poem with it is one of my favorites.

Iโ€™ve been here over a year and it keeps getting better.

I saw recipes in your feed. Do you know about @zap.cooking? All about recipes and food. nostr:npub1n0pdxnwa4q7eg2slm5m2wjrln2hvwsxmyn48juedjr3c85va99yqc5pfp6 is working on a podcast you might be interested in, too, given that topic.

Also, welcome!!!!!!! ๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿซ‚

I get it! https://Shopstr.store/ is where lots of people are selling and trading digital works, as well as physical goods, it's where I have my jerky too, it's not very busy yet, but it's working for me.

Each listing you add automatically gets posted to nostr via your feed (that feature is supported only by Amethyst at the moment) and you can share links to the market. I don't know about fees yet but I've already received two orders from strangers since I listed my goods yesterday.

I looked at Shopstr and Pleb Market and decided to go with the PPV (pay per view) link offered in Creatr, because I want to learn that venue.

Nostr/sats are definitely a much better way to get paid.

I sell my stories through my own website, which gets me more, but has extremely limited reach. Being listed on major online retailers (AMZ, B&N, Apple, Smashwords, etc.) gets what I listed. If you know of a better way to get distribution for self-published written works, please let me know.

Got an email that I earned $0.52 USD royalties on the sale of one of my microfiction collections last month. It will be added to my total balance of $4.86, and once that amount reaches $10, they will give me my money.

1. Thank you to whoever bought my writing. I assume it was someone here because these collections are a few years old and this is the only social media space I actively participate in.

2. Thank you to those who have bought the Kairos art & poetry collection nostr:npub16jad3sjdf0hynxhmpzpsuuwazqlxrcq824kjpw3w7wr8ldt3xm0q0zq4nn and I created. Weโ€™ve been paid more than $0.52 each, immediately. More info on that here: nostr:note1ectknnt9qeluspjnnntfpnfqxtr3kpxfj9zjc4lddux2xlqklrjse47h8m

3. Thank you to the devs who make my Nostr experience so valuable. Here I can connect directly (and get paid directly) for my creative work in real timeโ€ฆ. nostr:npub137c5pd8gmhhe0njtsgwjgunc5xjr2vmzvglkgqs5sjeh972gqqxqjak37w for media hosting, nostr:npub1xdtducdnjerex88gkg2qk2atsdlqsyxqaag4h05jmcpyspqt30wscmntxy for npub.pro websites, nostr:npub18kzz4lkdtc5n729kvfunxuz287uvu9f64ywhjz43ra482t2y5sks0mx5sz for Creatr, nostr:npub1xtscya34g58tk0z605fvr788k263gsu6cy9x0mhnm87echrgufzsevkk5s for Damus and all others who contribute to this unique protocol. You are building a future for creatives that I donโ€™t believe would otherwise exist. And it is a future full of hope.

Is there anyone who is *strongly* interested in being an early round beta reader for my sci fi manuscript?

Near-future sci-fi, crime/thriller/cyberpunk. A blend of action and multi-character depth, and moral analysis. The action is key and all, but alpha readers thus far cried at the character aspects; that's what hit them hard enough to care how they would engage with the action.

Strict Requirements for first-stage beta readers:

-I need to know/trust you personally, either in person or very well online with high reputation, to the point that I'd send an unfinished manuscript to you. There's no strict requirements, but if you know, you know.

-You like sci fi and/or fantasy books, and would be happy to read and offer objective (even brutal) feedback on a sci-fi action/crime thriller novel within the next month or two.

-You can comment or DM, for privacy sake.

That's a small group, but I'm putting it here on Nostr first for what I consider my pre-beta or readers. I will then expand 10x on Twitter and elsewhere for my full beta readers.

Meanwhile, I'm in the early revision stage. Manuscripts won't be sent out immediately. I'm still doing revisions and working with alpha readers, but I'm at the stage where I can start *planning* for the next step to see who might be interested to be early beta readers. Nostr folks get the exclusive early notice here.

I do tend to move pretty fast, though.

All pre-beta readers that provide meaningful input would be mentioned in the acknowledgement section, if the book were to be published, which of course I cannot guarantee will happen. I will only publish good books, one way or another.

But like, the alpha readers do like it. ;)

I can give feedback as a life-long fantasy &scifi reader and writer of 2 novels (fantasy, urban fantasy) and microfiction (story in the zap.cooking newsletters). Iโ€™m retired, so can meet short deadlines if you need quick turnaround. Thanks for the opportunity!

Iโ€™d forgotten how meta that conversation was. ๐Ÿ˜ณ#matrixresurrections #movie #filmstr

And now for my favorite color: Blue!!!! ๐Ÿ’™

I have 6 more tubes of blue to swatch tomorrow. For today, I filled out the ones on this page, then played with gradient landscapes.

It was a few years ago. very slow recovery for about 2 weeks, then better the next 4 weeks. We were on the stairs around week 5 because she had a check up with the doctor on week 6. She walked a steep road every morning with her dog before the accident, so she was already active and very motivated to be independent again. Fully recovered by week 8, as she could drive and walk the dog again. Still had to be careful getting in and out of the car, and uses a walking stick when on the steep road even today.
