Some never will, but apps like Nostr will draw people in and get them familiar with the tech. They must see it work. We can talk until we are blue in the face. When people see a Zap and experience it, they will know. It's happening slowly, then parabolic.
Also maybe if you zap the host during the space to some level that would qualify you to stay on for added time as well
