3 years ago... this is a vignette into my life as a teacher during the pandemic.
My children will not be at the government's mercy for their education. Educators should not have been forced to solve the problem they created. Not to mention that "learning from home" was a logistical nightmare.
How can Ghislaine Maxwell take allll the heat for Epstein and their clients that trafficked young girls?

3 years ago my school closed for "2 weeks" to lockdown. Students and teachers were forced to learn and teach virtually from their homes.
These days were filled with fear and uncertainty.
My husband was provided a letter to keep in his vehicle stating he was a mandatory worker, in the case the police pulled him over.
We did not return to school until the following fall and upon that return came mask mandates, sanitizing procedures, and social distancing.
I was forced to wear a mask at work for the duration of my 1st pregnancy. My daughter was born in 2021 and did not see the face of pediatrician for a year because it was covered with a mask. I never knew what my obgyn's (who delivered my daughter) face looked like for a year. My infant daughter cried at the sight of masked faces because she couldn't read facial expressions.
3 years later our children are suffering from learning deficits, lack of social skills (eye contact especially), and fear that a cough or sneeze is the start of hypercontagion.
The government's reaction to the pandemic in 2020 hurt our children academically and socially. History must not repeat itself. My children will not be at the government's mercy for their education.
I want to look into the effects of fast fashion. It's terrible for our wallets and it must be terrible for our environment as well.

I'm surprised more brands haven't released NFTs that provide access to exclusive merch aka as a marketing tool.
Vera Bradley did it, but I didn't follow up and use my NFT to see if the exclusive access was worth it. I literally just bought the NFT for funsies. I knew there wouldn't be any actual value attached to it. They did give purchasers a vintage handbag with the NFT purchase.
I just thought it was a neat crossover between fashion and the crypto world.

Shopping haul videos & influencers shilling "must have" items make me sick. This consumerism culture is an empty and wasteful life. Material items do not fulfill you. You don't need more things. You need more relationships, home made food, fresh air & sunshine. And drink some water too while you're at it.
I used to want the "newest" or "must have" things. I just ended up with clutter, a dabble in financial irresponsibility, and unhappiness.
No political agenda, inclusive, wholesome. We need more movies like this.

No idea. Identities of minors are not released by school officials. I do know in 2 of these incidents, the teacher was breaking up fights between students.
At least 3 teachers in my area have been injured by students within the last week. 2 of them hospitalized. I pray every day I'm not the next victim.
