The people are the treasure of a network and what they produce on it.
It's not irrelevant. It's just that relays don't generate link previews, but clients do. That's the argument. And it's what differentiate #Nostr from Mastodon.
I like Mastodon and I want it to succeed. But I also believe that it needs to future out how to overcome this issue.
To enjoy the fruits later, you need to plant that tree now.

I'm using a Kingston DataTraveller 2GB USB stick for over 15 years now. It works flawlessly. And it's not even showing it's age.
Yogurt would be one.
It will be when it gets an "r" as in #Nostr. Sorry, kidding.
Nostr is in its beginning. We can make it how we want it. Keep on it.
One more thing that I think will help you clarify it more is, unless you're logged into an account/profile via a client, it won't pull updates from the relays. It will only when you're logged into it in a client. So stop worrying about it and enjoy #Nostr.
It's kinda similar but not totally. Unlike Mastodon, the effect wouldn't be too severe as Nostr is built differently. You can read the other comments here in this thread.
It doesn't work like that. No one can take your account unless they have your nsec key. Also, it can't communicate with the outside world (internet) if you're not using it. It's not a hardware that's connected to the internet. To see it in action and to try it for yourself, you can check out your other profiles from one.
No worries. Changes are good if it improves the state of things. Can't wait for the updates!
Would love to have a Nostr-alternative of WhatsApp.
No problem. Keep up the good work.
On another note, I've made peace with #noStrudel, and I am loving it now.
nostr:npub1ye5ptcxfyyxl5vjvdjar2ua3f0hynkjzpx552mu5snj3qmx5pzjscpknpr reposted note doesn't render correctly for some reason, it seems. Is that a bug?

Currently, I'm using the ChakraUI in Light mode with the Media Page width set to Medium (~768px). I'm still experimenting.
Changing the Theme to ChakraUI and the Max Page width to Medium (~768px) makes the overall UI of #noStrudel more usable and pleasant to the eyes.

#noStrudel settings has 2 options for media server: nostr.build and Blossom. Which one should I pick?

In a way, yes. But here, "disabling" really means you're not just using it now. But the account remains active. In the background, per se.
Okay, I'll try to make it simpler for you. Say you have four gardens on the four sides of your house. You can attend to only one garden at a time. So, when you're attending one garden, you're taking care of the plants, watering them, taking out the weeds, etc. You're "active" on that garden. But just because you're now taking care of one garden now, doesn't mean the other garden's plants will stop growing.
The same is for using multiple accounts. Well, kind of. When you're logged in to one account, you can see the notifications it accumulated since your last visit. But the other accounts that you aren't signed in, won't stop accumulating notifications for the engagements your posts get. Just you aren't logged in to them and so can't see them now. But when you log in to them, you'll see them and can interact with them.
Is that a bit clearer now?
