yes unfortunately I think we're at the stage where even if there was some sort of genuine global emergency requiring a coordinated response, it would be impossible for our institutions to actually do anything - because they are so corrupted by this kind of anti realism.
even the climate stuff, if it were all true, the measures they propose couldn't possibly have any effect.
the problem is that none of the activists pushing this things care at all about the actual issues. they don't care about climate, trans people, Ukraine, respiratory viruses - all they care about is finding ways to bully and control people and raise their level in the herd.

and when you stop to think of it what does "global temperature" itself even means? it's not the average for the earth as that includes the molten core! so it's for the surface plus some slice of the atmosphere? the radiation temperature? it all becomes less and less meaningful, and more and more open to manipulation the more you think of it. the only measure that makes any kind of sense is total ocean energy, and nobody cares about that!
We have no idea what "normal" variation in global temperatures is - because all data before the last decade is massively smoothed.
So there is no grounds to say whether any recent increases (if you believe they are correctly reported) are abnormal.

It's completely impossible now for governments to avoid taking full control of social media (leaving aside the possibility if trump gets in). They are too committed and it makes too much sense for them.
When that happens nostr will be the only option for free information, just as bitcoin will be the only option for free economic exchange. I expect we'll see some major figure realise this and release content on nostr that cannot be shared any other way. Then they'll try to shut it down and when they fail it'll be all over.
