Peace, love, freedom. First freedom.. Maddie de Garay was a 12 year old in the trial for Pfizer's covid vaccine. Immediately after her second jab she had a severe reaction that has put her in a wheelchair ever since. Pfizer simply decreed that this was not an effect of the vaccine - even though this was in the trial whose purpose is literally to determine the vaccine's effects. The FDA and CDC would not even speak to Maddy's parents. They tried to convince them Maddy was crazy. There is no possible conclusion except that the vaccines were developed in bad faith, and the authorities - including any doctors who promoted the vaccines - cannot be trusted. Be in no doubt that they will kill your children if it suits them. Never forget, never forgive. https://fullmeasure.news/newest-videos/vaccine-trials

Who is this?

It's first time I've seen use of "g*z*" and "isr**l"..

..reminds me of the good old days of v🪓 talk on twitter 😀

This is a nostr appreciation post to start the new year. I don’t think any of us are ready for how this thing can change the media.

No more algorithms doesn’t just mean that you get to control what you see – it also means that journalists like me can directly interact with their readers to get real feedback on how their content is perceived, without collecting anyones data.

Lots of posts of mine do terribly on Twitter but do very well on nostr – simply because the algorithm disfavors them for using a wrong word, format or hashtag. Other posts don’t do well on either – telling me that I need to get better at explaining things. Quality feedback like this is the holy grail for any journalist because it makes us better at what we do, and it’s impossible to achieve on the manipulation sites.

And for the zaps – it’s the only mechanism I have seen that actually discourages having a paywall. People *will* and *do* spend money on content they appreciate; not because they are forced to, but because they value what other people have created. This simply doesn’t work when what you make is hidden for a payment in advance scheme that requires you to setup an account and make new passwords for every page.

Journalists, just like artists, don't create stuff because they want to get rich (maybe some do, but that's a pretty stupid strategy). We create things because its physically impossible for us not to. Knowing that someone is willing to spend their sats on your work is the best feedback you can get.

Call me crazy but nostr doesn’t just make media more free. It makes it better. Bullish on what's to come 🎆

We need algorithms! There's too much content otherwise - put another way, having no algorithm puts a relatively low upper limit to the number of active accounts you can follow.

But one of the key reasons nostr wins is that you'll get to make or choose your own algorithm and you'll be able to know exactly what it's doing - while all other platforms will be using them to control you.

And with a free market in which anyone can come up with new ways to filter content to give users what they want, nostr algorithms will quickly leave closed platforms in the dust.

Yes it will be "better"!

I dunno man, a lot of them seem verified pretty recently.

If you know different, perhaps you could update their status?

Its easy to do and I feel its a valuable resource for building bitcoin from the ground up. I've used it to travel around spending bitcoin (in central america) and it was pretty reliable.

Hmm, this shows 44 in Paris and maybe 400 in USA..

2025 Nostr Predictions:

1. Algos will seriously challenge follow lists. Clients will de-emphasize the author to focus the post's merit on the content itself and push algos further.

2. First ad-based, VC-backed Nostr client will appear and seriously challenge incumbent clients on UX quality from the revenue model's deep pockets.

3. The Nostr Android ecosystem will evolve to be the proven app decentralization model for all other platforms. App-to-App communication takes over as a Nostr layer 3. Users are on-boarded to a Store, not to a single client.

4. Local-first clients with shared pool of events will become the only way to create a "good enough" performant experience on Nostr without using centralized caching servers, blurring the lines of online and offline.

5. First AI-native Nostr client attempts to render and react to any Nostr content based on voice/chat commands only. The notion of a "feed" disappears. AI-made content starts to challenge human-made content for top zaps and trending posts.

6. Moderated communities are re-born, grow slowly but consistently over time. Safe spaces that create genuine connections and clean, authentic content become a valueable revenue source for moderators.

7. Nostr libraries continue to have a hard time defining stable abstraction layers for Nostr clients to use. Which will lead to a NIP-like repo especifically designed to enable the development of interoperable abstractions that can overtake the complexity of the Nostr relay network protocol.

I feel like it has to be all about the algorithms.

Closed social networks each become their own echo chamber / silo (and hell-bent in abusiing their users of course) while nostr will offer a range of beautiful worlds to select from - and you can tell you're not being screwed in them.

People will look back and find it hard to understand why these closed networks ever existed - they are a pure anomaly in the evolution of the internet.

Thank you for all your hard work V, you're a legend building history!

I don't know what kind of docs you have but most of them are completely wrong about cancer.

The standard explanation is that cancer is caused by DNA damage and mutations.

But that's clearly wrong, as many experiments have shown. For example the activity of a cancer cell is not transmitted with its nucleus, where the DNA is, but instead associates with the cytoplasm (the rest of the cell).

It seems likely that cancer is primarily a metabolic disease (caused by damage to the mitochondria, the energy generators of the cell, which reside in the nucleus). As such, metabolic treatments such as ketogenic diets make much more sense than treatments based on the wrong assumption that DNA damage is at the root of the problem.

GOOD LUCK

Or accept you probably won't do it and get on with living life rather than ticking a bucket list that probably got put in your brain by some kind of bullshit programming 😁

just bumped into this blogger... really interesting piece about the creation of music/celebrity culture and how it intersected with CIA and MI6 etc covert operations... stuff I'd heard about but giving a lot of details about all the "spooky" connections, and it's not just hippy psychedelic stuff even punk and new wave and now hiphop music, the latter especially connected to private prisons, this culture of "bad boy" stuff, instantly brings up all this memories of these popular songs that celebrate shit like abusive psychotic boyfriends and how all this dovetails in with the promotion of cults and proliferation of cults that is reaching a form of almost high art with social networks

very good read, anyhow, recommended...

of course i've always loved the stuff that was against that shit in a fundamental way, but i saw the coopting process unfolding notably in the late 90s with psychedelic rave culture in australia, the coming of the vegan, love and light crowd, snuffing out the rebellion, and most of the artists i have loved over the years are ones that their entire central point was to promote questioning the story and pointing out all the spooky connections, from suicidal tendencies to public enemy and ice cube and dead kennedys and david thrussel's many projects exposing covert operations and conspiracies from the military industrial complex, combichrist, muse... the list is pretty long... artists who turn the spotlight back on the people behind the curtain

thanks, subscribed ✅

what a time to be alive, that people with something to say can do so and find an audience - it's very exciting, particularly as substack seems to be exploding, and they will know very well that giving a platform to dissidents is what is making them rich

if course at some point they will be censored and move to nostr

(or they won't, and we won't need nostr.. .. either way freedom wins)

it's a file sharing protocol / network, so not "a website" but if you don't know it, I recommend soulseek

mainly music but quite a lot of audiobooks there

the most popular client is nicotine-plus: https://nicotine-plus.org/

consider sharing what you have also, to support the network 😀
