are you being followed by a lot of sybils as well?
LN is designed to batch on-chain activity. the more on-chain activity gets expensive the more the potential for paying for off-chain liquidity becomes lucrative
why do they need to understand the implementation detail?
bottom line it's a long password that you have to maintain yourself
i agree many will see this as too risky, regardless of how BIP32 works
if the LSP wants income it better route payments
āMany people are saying LSPs are a massive centralisation risk in the long run. Do you agree with that? ~Marty Bent
āYes, it kind of is,..., there are valid centralisation concerns. But if we dont build it, no one is going to use lightning because the lightning user experience sucks ass.ā~Matt Corralo

LSPs are trustless and you can shop for them and use in parallel and even operate a local community LSP. LN requires a level of specialization that can be services but is monopolization proof
I'm just bullshitting. can't think of a useful analogy because the reason you need different addresses is also non trivial for a newcomer
I guess nostr is a Japanese restaurants reviews medium now?
DNA and phenotypes
let's say it's not a good idea to keep it as a text file on your desktop
once you sign a txn it's just a string of hex characters that somehow need to be broadcasted to the bitcoin network. it can be done from everywhere, by anyone. good wallet hardware/software should give you the ability to just get the string of signed txn in hex format
https://www.blockchain.com/explorer/assets/btc/broadcast-transaction
you need to have a dead man's switch: a single txn that sweeps your entire cold storage into a new one in case your seeds are confiscated. this txn shouldn't be that secured as long as it's not stored along with the new keys
the new keys should be stored separate from wherever the original keys might be confiscated, whether it's your home or a hardware wallet taken at an airport, etc. the dead man's switch txn should be able to broadcast from wherever, whenever, by whomever
how to design this kind of safety mechanism is up to you
nominal balances will forever be guaranteed. i donāt think the public is worried about banks balance sheets
mutiny guys really made PWAs cool again. I'm impressed
this israeli article doesn't include any of the words "bitcoin" or "crypto"

last 3 weeks in israel got me appreciating bitcoin for what it is RIGHT NOW, way before any theoretical hyperbtc. this technology is a game-changer for any kind of uncertainty. nothing comes even close
