Blackpilling pretty hard on being an American
Discussion
I read: "We know good people just want to be left alone, but frankly that doesn't matter to us."
Counterpoint:
Oh, clap your hands, all you peoples!
Shout to God with the voice of triumph!
For the Lord Most High is awesome;
He is a great King over all the earth.
He will subdue the peoples under us,
And the nations under our feet.
For God is the King of all the earth;
Sing praises with understanding.
it'll be ugly
Banning "single-use wallets" is blatantly requiring us to be intentionally trackable. That's default behavior on many wallet apps!
I'm sure they don't understand the difference between being anti-tyranny and anti-government.
Does "user initiated delays" mean off-chain transactions?
I think it's a reference to some heuristics you can use to break timing analysis
"Responsible third parties... financial institutions..." You mean like SVB? 🤣 or do they mean themselves only?
It short, they think they're immune from becoming tyrants.
Well the Bitcoin crowd is more likely to do civil disobedience and black markets than many other groups, by the looks of things.
Back in spring 2020 my family and I were predicting the lockdowns wouldn't last longer than a few weeks, that people would get antsy and either outright disobey or else go into the black market. We overestimated the average American, it seems. Maybe with Bitcoiners it'll be different.
Definitely higher than average but still very disappointing. Many American Bitcoiners will flip and support the federal reserve given the correct nationalist keywords - "Iran", "Russia", etc.
lol... legitimate reasons to want financial privacy but we still gonna pick you off for doing it. what scum and villainy.
americans don't realise they are about to go into full CCCP territory.
Only BlackRock and corrupt politicians will be deemed to have legitimate reasons.
Americans are not entering CCP territory, not even close. If they were, the standard of living would be increasing.
ok, so lower standard of living and more surveillance, that checks out
Basically just viewing the citizenry as livestock, leasing them to the highest bidder. E.g. pharma companies, creating a nation of zombies addicted to opioids and riddled with cancer from experimental "vaccines".
chinese level of tyranny was teams of hazmat suited children walking through the town parroting propaganda and reporting their neighbours.
chinese level of tyranny is drones with loudspeakers and remote cameras shouting at people.
chinese level of tyranny is people being kidnapped by teams of "doctors" in hazmat suits and who the fuck knows where they end up because they never came home.
standard of living is neither going up nor down but the appearance of wealth is being increased, by culling the herd and giving their resources to favourites.
it's still tyrannical. it's 1984 in china, while usa is brave new world.
#[0] FinCen has never heard of the 4th amendment or 5th amendments and is of unquestioning belief that an Act trumps a constitutional amendment.
So what is Coinbase gonna get in trouble for cheaper utxo management? What a double standard
What happens to literally every lightning company, every lightning node every person zapping under this dragnet ? Public mining companies, pools? This seems completely impossible to enforce proactively. Seemd like a 'bad' thing that will happen is CEXes only accepting compliant corn. If it affects merchant adoption id be sad and this country would suck big time for shooting itself in the foot.
The money laundering club is too obsessed with non-members potentially laundering money
