When I look around most people telling me they hold bitcoin are doing it via a centralized KYCed service or they are using Strike or similar wallets that combine banks and bitcoin. So it doesn’t matter if they are non KYC at the beginning. … many corporate miners are KYCed too and if ordered they will try to ban addresses (which doesn’t work anyways) and filter transactions. If there aren’t enough non KYC miners that alternatively can mine them Bitcoin is basically just another censorable financial tool.

Maybe I am missing sth, but let’s say btc is actually used as a MoE in the future more than SoV. If they are talking about blocking coins that β€œever” passed a non-kyc address, I would guess that most of them did, either by early mining (lets say first 5-6y) or by just simple non-kyc addresses at some point, essentially blocking 90-95% of the ecosystem. which in that case, it would be closing the offramps and btc stays within its own ecosystem, no? Btw thanks for all your work, your book actually helped me on my journey.

There’s something that’s been bothering me for a while.

To some 'Bitcoiners', I’m not 'Bitcoin' enough as if that’s even a real thing. Like being called progressive or feminist is supposed to be an insult. LOL.

And then every time I go back in my hometown, like last night, I get called a conspiracy theorist. Even for talking about the most basic bitcoin stuff (like the fact that dollars is not pegged by gold) 😭 and this happens a looot even on my social media

The truth is that nothing messes with your head like realizing that EVERYTHING you’ve been told about one of the most fundamental things (money) was wrong… and THEN suddenly finding yourself surrounded by people who also question the moon landing and whether sunscreen is even useful πŸ₯²

But let me tell you something.

And I’m saying this to myself too. It’s fine. It’s all fine.

People are always trying to put you in a box. You’re either woke or delusional, feminist or comunist, sheep or lunatic. The financial system is a huge scam yes, but I don't question literally everything else. I drink wine and eat carbs on a daily basic and fuck yeah. The truth is, I live in the middle. And I’m OK with that. I absolutely love my life the way it i.

Being in the middle is what makes me human. It’s what allows me to see nuance. It’s what makes life richer, messier, and full of meaning. Also, I'm surrounded be so many and SO DIFFERENT people, I could never close myself up in my own world or diet.

I don't know in which point you are in this bitcoin journey but don’t be afraid to stand in between. Between two fires, two colors, two truths. Because that’s exactly where things start to make sense.

He's a marketer, not a founder or an engineer. He didn't found PayPal or Tesla; he bought into them early. He's good at selling narratives and equity valuation for perpetually unprofitable companies.

Everything for him is a narrative. His green revolution was a narrative to sell more cars and get more subsidies. His bitcoin purchase was to gain appeal among bitcoin/crypto people in a bull market. And he shilled doge like a dumbass. His SpaceX narrative is to get money from the government.

His rooftop solar thing was an outright scam; the technology isn't ready and went nowhere because of that. His full-self-driving-in-an-intermediate-term timeline was a scam, and is going nowhere because of that. He makes scams to draw people and capital in, because for him it's all about narratives and equity valuation.

And then he dug unproductive holes, suggested unproductive hyper-tubes, built meme flamethrowers, for what? It's a narrative, not a business. None of this is real productive shit to make peoples' lives better.

His latest "we need free speech" narrative was a scam too. He tapped into something real, which is what marketers do and why it kind of worked. Yes, we need free speech. Yes, Twitter had censorship issues. He saw that and jumped on it maliciously rather than productively.

But what did he replace it with? He replaced it with arbitrary journalist censorship about his private jet, arbitrary censorship of Substack, selective Twitter Files release, won't talk seriously about any of his China connections because Xi Jinping fucking owns him economically there like Jack Ma, has his balls firmly in his grasp, etc.

Elon's playing the narrative, the anti-woke meme of the day. He's a master meme-momentum-player. Don't fall for it.
