It’s up to us to hold it up as free individuals by living up to FF principles of liberty and freedom. Obviously we can’t just revolt against the powers that be like the French did but follow the footsteps of FF by preserving the system they created. They would be proud of many of the states although skeptical of big government. So it’s ultimately federalism v v antifederalism and both have their perks. The American Revolution lives in our hearts by inspiring freedom from tyranny and a love for republicanism where different people can live in peace and prosperity. That’s my two bits

Technically he massacred those south of the border, not those in the north. Northern tribes were wiped out due to land grabs not by colonialists but during the western expansion. Natives don’t have concept of land ownership so white man was able to trick him into giving it away for free. Anyway real natives don’t give a shit about ownership of the land because they are the land earth and sky in one. Amirite

Independence or not, when we ascertain the Canadians, we find what could have become of the colonies had they not declared independence in 1776. Now I can’t remember if the Revolutionary War began or ended on July 4, 1776 (I think it began) but what’s important is that it enabled the American 🇺🇸 Spirit to be born, namely that of freedom and liberty. For all her faults, America is the best expression of the balance of power which was evidenced with SCOTUS’ recent decisions reversing progressive politics. The constitution is a living thing and it’s an honor to be an American. I know I sound cheesy but try living in other countries and just compare our constitution to that of Canada or Australia and you will find that We the People is real. That was my feelz post for the day and thank you for reading my words which I hold dear in my heart 💜
I’d rather be here among peers with peer to peer interactions than subject to the restrictive algorithm protocols of social media. Social media is supposed to be a virtual public square where ideas are shared and exchanged by presumably cogent and educated masses. Yet Search engines are so filtered it’s close to impossible to find worthy information anymore while social media reeks of totalitarian festering. Nietzsche killed God and we killed Nietzsche. Where is Sophia’s Lover to enlighten us? Does he lurk on nostr?
Happy 4th of July, fellow Americans! As a first generation Serbian American expat living in Egypt, I can say I’ve been around the world and there’s no place like sweet home Chicago. We’ve got the best blues and best house music in the country, but to mention the best pizza and best architecture in the world. I grew up on the north side in Sauganash near forest preserves and had the best upbringing! We used to sing Christmas carols door to door for our neighbors spreading holiday cheer during the cold and long winters. During the fourth, sauganash always made a parade and then a party at the local park. Then fireworks 💥 at night.

Anyone wanna talk about politics and revisionist history? Imagine if Bolshevik Revolution never occurred in Russia in 1918 (coincidentally when the Great War ends); wounded Germany would have quickly recovered and true Eurasianism could have sprung between the Goths and the Rus with Anglosphere on the sidelines. (Even Marx himself would not have okayed the October Rev Bc Russia was feudal and not capitalist, a prerequisite.) Truly the class revolution was supposed to occur in anglosphere first and by now we’d properly be ready for the digital revolution instead of this Ponzi pyramid scheme. Some late night thoughts as I ponder revisionist history.
