It's a long shot and I really don't like asking strangers for so much help but I'm going to need to use about $800 out of my rent to pay for my dog who has developed pyometra to be spayed. Giving her up isn't an option as it's not fair to the dog or us, especially my kids. Does anybody know of any alternatives to GoFundMe?

I'm so nervous and scared right now. Maeve had her first heat cycle March into April and may now have pyometra. We planned to have her spayed after her 2nd heat so that her body could fully mature. I just got off the phone with my landlord explaining I may be paying for unexpected surgery for my dog and asked if we could make an arrangement on rent, her answer was a swift "no". I'm going to get my dog the care she needs now matter what, so I guess it's time to pray for a miracle.

Our wifi router died on us and we went 2 days without internet. Picked up a cheap replacement today and became a god in the eyes of the kids once the wifi was working again.
I feel so bad for Maeve today. She keeps hearing vehicles pass by that sound like a school bus and gets so excited thinking the kids are home, just to realize for the 10th time that they are not.
I've been trying to get an invite for a little while now. The more I read the less interested I get. But I am still curious enough to want to poke around a bit.
I enjoy both Nostr and the Fediverse. I don't understand the hate it gets here. Is it perfect? No. But still very useful and I've met a handful of great people there. I run my own single user instance, so my experience is probably better vs joining a well known larger instance.
It makes me so sad when people look at her and assume she is mean and aggressive based only on how she looks.

I don't understand why Amethyst it's so hyped, by far the buggiest client I've tried on Android. Unusable if I'm being honest. I recommend using Nostros and keeping your eyes on Plasma as well.
