What if instead of having a zap button, when a user has a wallet connected to Damus and replies to a note with something like "zap 21 sats" it initiates the connected wallet to zap that amount? Could that be a work around? Could it work/become a nip and be beyond Damus' control what a user comments?

Graphene isn't the only option to DeGoogle. Depending on your model you may be able to unlock your bootloader and run an AOSP based rom. I run Android without Google apps and services on my RealmeXT.

I actually went with the Pinephone instead of the Librem5 and run Arch with PHOSH. I personally don't think the Librem is worth it's price tag. Eventually I plan to pick up a Pinephone Pro or maybe a used OnePlus 6(T) to run mobile Linux.

Damn, Windscribe took my "lifetime" 50gb away. This is true. I'm sure most people will gravitate towards a few clients and we'll see a bunch die off. Amethyst seems most popular on Android but for me it's always been unusable due to lag. I use Nostros but keep Plasma installed as well to keep track if it's progress.

Apple products should not be worth the premium price tag that comes with their name. I say "should not" because clearly (and sadly) they are to some people, or they couldn't get away with charging those prices. A mid range Android device with an unlocked bootloader & running Googleless Android does everything I need.

However, there are plenty of Android clients better than Amethyst.
