If you use a firewall on Android and limit what apps can connect to mobile data and sync in the background, you'll realize you don't truely need large data packages. I originally realized this when daily driving the Pinephone and running mobile Linux. If I am not home with a wifi connection, 9 times out of 10 I am working and not using my phone. Now my phone plan is 1,000 voice minutes, unlimited messaging, unlimited data with 1gb high speed. Using the same T-Mobile network, so it shouldn't cause any issues. After a week it seems to fine. $10 per month.

Ahhh. I read that as "desktop client" and not favorite to use on desktop. I really want to see a gtk/libadwaita client that plays nice on mobile Linux.
Haven't heard of Primal, does it work under Linux? Plasma is a great little Android client and if you can respect slower advancements, you may find it enjoyable.
