Now that you mention it thatās a bit of why I lose it whenever that āLost Kittenā song comes on. That stupid video of the girl, the memories, it just tickles this part of my mind that thinks about how Iām on the wrong course, all the missteps and screwups Iāve done, all the good things Iāve thrown away and easy routes Iād cheated
Regrets arenāt new, but the part that really gets me, the thought Iāve been running from for a while, is the possibility that Iām screwing up NOW by shacking up with an infertile woman that prevents me from building a family. Then I consider whether Iām vampirizing this young woman, blotting out āthe best years of her lifeā in a way that will one day be cursed by her and her future āsoul mateā. Itās just that fear that Iāve screwed up for so long my judgement canāt be trusted, Iām just self destructing while pretending Iām living right.
