Christian Bitcoiner and developer of coracle.social. Learn more at info.coracle.social. If you can't tell the difference between me and a scammer, use a nostr client with web of trust support.

I do the same thing. Write performance is the bottleneck though, read is slow but not unusable.

I get more engagement on nostr than my governor gets on twitter. Admittedly, my posts have about 371% more signal.

Nothing like saying aomething in public to make you re-think your position. Things I said on bitcoin.review last week that I actually don't think are correct:

- We don't need algorithmic feeds independent of social graph. It is actually nice to be able to find good topical content, for example by searching for your health problem in reddit or looking for an interesting history channel on youtube. But maybe search rather than feeds is the right way to approach this.

- It's ok if nostr fails, we can go to the next best protocol. I agree with the other guys that now is the time., and that imperfect technical solutions often win. I guess my point is, if we can upgrade nostr's flaws away, we should.

- There is no such thing as a digital public square, and there is no need for one. I have no idea if this is true, and would like to think about it more. It's definitely helpful for people to have a place to talk with others watching and learning, but there definitely isn't a single forum in which that happens.

I wonder if Bluesky saved nostr by diverting all the angry people away from us for the time being. The anti-musk impetus is one of the largest ones currently pushing people away from twitter.

Sounds like coracle didn't detect your extension. Do you have alby installed?

nostr:npub1jlrs53pkdfjnts29kveljul2sm0actt6n8dxrrzqcersttvcuv3qdjynqn I asked you a few days ago how you keep track of the NIP-32 labels a user is using; are you creating a NIP-51 of them or are you just finding the 1985 events to see the different labels the user uses?

I don't do anything right now, but should. I'll probably just retrieve the 1985s
