Can someone help me understand why using ecash/ chaumian/fesimint would be preferred to lightning? The only reason I can see is that the privacy is total and lightning is almost total. Seem like it just recreates the current banking system with bitcoin instead of treasuries…still an improvement but would need trusted 3rd parties. I admit I have a very limited understanding of this layer 3 (I guess???).

A lot of clients ask to sign in with private key or Alby extention. I see people mention its safer with Alby? Explain? Does this mean I need to give Alby my nsec? How is this more secure than the client having my nsec? Thanks. Still learning.
