I suspect that a small subscription might generate more income. Zaps have increasing friction when network fees are high. I think it cost me $60 in fees recently to just move $300 in sats off a custodial app. 🤯
I’m concerned that pleb usage of lightning will fade. Spending $45 or more in fees just to open a noncustodial channel is pretty high for low value usage. I don’t envision us plebs switching to custodial Lightning.
We need to move to L3s but that comes with other issues. They might not be directly compatible and require swap-in-out friction. Will all nostr clients unify with one L3? I guess we’ll see how things develop.

I didn’t realize how “broken” the UX is now. Not many good options for cheap payments it seems. Pay multiple channel opening fees for each child? Hoping Liquid can solve this but Boltz is down. 🤷♂️

I’m no longer a fan of generic tech proposals that are not specific to a particular problem. “It could to this or that or maybe that!”
My preference is that devs pick a specific problem and solve it in the most narrowest way possible to minimize unknown unintended effects.

I suspect long covid is a thing, but I also think it’s become an euphemism for vaccine injuries. I wonder if she’s vaxxed and, if so, how the timing of her symptoms align with the shots.
I think it was every strain of omnicron, from what I remember of the article. I suspect omnicron was another lab leak, intended to act as an transmissible vaccine. Once it was released it effectively ended the plandemic.

As far as I know they haven’t restricted bitcoin withdrawals yet. That what I expect may happen. This is what I would do as the bankers / govt. Basically make the ETF into a bitcoin black hole. By keeping the bitcoin in the ETF (or controlled by the govt), I would make sure it’s not transferred into independent self custody.
And next, only cash redemptions? Expecting this to be a bitcoin black hole for the govt.

Yes, I think omnicron was a lab release. The genetic lineage is a smoking gun. I haven’t heard any reasonable explanation for how an ancient strain pops up out of nowhere (except out of a lab freezer).
