it fucks with your dopamine (I'd even go as far as argue that the modern growth in mental illnesses is mostly due to social media)
Minecraft, Roblox, Fortnite as social spaces are a completely different beast - you play with your friends you know from school or neighborhood
banning kids from those is essentially ending local social gatherings
very different social group compared to algos fucking you in the head with constant dopamine pumps with 5s globally sourced videos
a blanket "ban on social media" will never work

crypto VCs (and large VCs in general) have completely destroyed any long term alternative investments
anything newly released on the open market is by default overpriced and you're left picking for scraps, or you're next to the trough

I remember how back in 2018 there was a huge backlash on Twitter against crypto adoption due to the scams getting propagated there
it was a huge chance for shitcoin social platforms like investfeed at the time to onboard the entire fucking population of crypto twitter but all they called about was sucking the value out of their tokens
