Who on here left the legacy socials already?

🙋♂️
Left all but LinkedIn for work.
Yar. Nostr is the future.
Still on a few but essentially read-only
LinkedIn ❌️
Personal Twitter ❌️
Never going back

🙋🏼♂️left them a couple years ago.
Nostr only
X
#Nostr only
Still on X, it’s pretty entertaining.
I was on Legacies in ‘09 then left them all in 20’ when I finally realized it was mind control. Started on X post Elon, now here!
I'm still an active myspace user.
I left most and was banned from a couple.

Nostr only
We don’t even google
We #asknostr
Many years ago, Nostr only since I joined.
#nostr only
Nostr or nothing for me.
Me. Nostr only. Feeling great
Never really spent much time on social. The freedom tech of NOSTR is what made me want to get involved.
✋
I have no social media other than nostr, willsoon delette my youtube acc as well
Dunzo.
NOstr does it for me.
Me. Went Nostr only a little while ago
Nostr only 🤌
I'm not sure why y'all were using them in the first place
Exited before nostr existed 🎖️
I think i had a facebook account around 2012-2015. I was pressured into it by friends but never really did much with it so i deleted it 4-5 years ago because apparently i still had people trying to contact me through facebook.
Never used nor visited twitter (except when a tweet was linked by others).
Then there's linkedin. As much as i hate it, professionally it is the place from which 80% of my work comes. Companies seem to find me on it much easier than anywhere else. Any tips on how to do this different are welcome.
A workaround is to hibernate your LinkedIn while it’s not needed, but not sure if this works in your situation
Contact HR at companies you're interested in directly instead of relying on the middleman carpet-bombing by recruiters.
Ah yes, i maybe should have been clear about that i am self-employed/freelancing so i only do contract work. But technically i could approach companies myself still but that would be quite an investment.
What i usually do, before i respond to any linkedin requests, is to approach previous clients, or companies that directly contacted me, but since most projects i work on usually take a year or longer, the timing is usually not at the right moment. Meaning they no longer need me or just not at this moment.
I've been doing contract work now for almost 15 years and did about 10 projects during that time. I think i'm now in the spot where only 50% of my work comes in through linkedin and the rest is direct contacts, so progress is being made.
It's still amazing though how well that platform spearheaded me into this direction and i'm super happy with the outcome.
Nostr only for over 18 months

not me having a far too slow experience 🙃
I'm just spreading my prescence.
Big time Twitter user til 2014 when the hooligans started to turn up. Tried it again wth Elon but I could feel the stress drain away when I rage quit :) FaceBook never seen the point. Except whenever I saw friends posing hand in hand lovey dovey you knew that was the signal their marriage was on the rocks!
Still on twitter, I find it extremely difficult to leave since there are a lot of accounts I get value from that aren't still on nostr 😞
It’s an illusion - take the dive
Hid X app on my phone so I would have to look for it
Ovah heyah
ALL IN ON NOSTR.
LIVE FREE. 🫡
This all proves there is no free will. Just as I thought I spontaneously left X for good, I'm seeing a deluge of people doing the same. Very suspicious simulation glitch. Nostr only in any case.
Matriarchy or anarchy we agree.
free will didn’t work for the last …
Women lead the world 🫡

Other than youtube and twitch, they were giving nothing back to my life.
I'm trying. The convinience of other platforms plus all your friends there is still a huge price to pay going off those apps.
Stopped using X 2 years ago as my last social network.
Freshly on nostr since #nostriga
Not planning on adding anything else.

I'm 2 years twitterless now, never used any other socials. Nostr will take the world by surprise.
I’m in limbo.. but trying.

Still have Facebook but not the app and not messenger. Inactive account and have instagram. All of my friends, family, acquaintances and people I find interesting are still on instagram which makes it hard to leave. Contrary to popular belief, instagram isn't just for vain pictures and videos. I've learned a lot on that app and made new friends on there that are now real life friends too. Everyone is respectful on there as I've never had a bad experience. There are so many communities and sub communities on there too. Something for everyone and then some. I've also had shallow and in depth conversations with people in the comments section of posts so it does facilitate valuable discourse too. As with any tech, it depends on you and how you use it.
most of my network is on insta as well. they use it for chats and group messaging. definitely difficult to drop it when none of them use nostr yet
Yep, bandwagon and network effects not here yet. There are plenty of other decentralized social media apps too. I have to finish exploring all of them to decide where I truly wanna be.
🖐️
I was never there! Never wanted to take the time to get on top of the privacy settings etc. NOSTR is my first and only.
Personal use I now primarily use #Nostr / #Fountain #podcasts. I still lightly use #Lemmy, and a decent amount of time on #Reddit, never really used #Facebook or #Instagram all that much, never used #Twitter seriously. NEVER installed #TikTok.
I'm all for the Nostr future where we're the only ones in control of our accounts! No censorship! Power to the individual. Freedom tech is a beautiful thing to see develop at an ever faster pace thanks to being supported by #SoundMoney in #Bitcoin.
Been out of that prison since ‘18
Right here. #nostronly
The only thing I have left on my phone is Reddit and that is just so I can access certain information for super niche things.
👋
All gone here sticking my private key into Nostr apps. I should probably have a burner account for testing rather than weekly respawns.
I left twitter a month ago and am feeling better for it
Left FecesBook in 2021
Twitter shortly after when I apparently hurt their new CEO's feelings.
#nostrOnly here
Left facebook about a decade ago. Twitter about 6 months ago. Only really got youtube, and am in the process of unwinding my google, but that is going to take a bit of time.

nostr only since Sep 2023

Twitter is all I have left. It's like quitting smoking. I need to stop hiding cigarettes in my boots
The day I was shadow-banned from Twatter was when I discovered Nostr I think. Been a while, haven't looked back.
Left most long time ago. X is the only account left.
The only legacy I'm on is YouTube, but that's because I'd like to mirror all my YouTube content to a Nostr-based platform, without re-uploading everything (because that takes forever).
Closer to making the leap than I ever have been before
Deleted youtube and x yesterday from my phone. Still go to X to shout about Nostr every now again but both experience are horribly negative. The difference is so palpable.
Hi ✌🏾
Nah, multihoming
Twitter is still fun
All in on Nostr ( aside from pulling prior poetry sometimes ) 🤣🫡
