One of the themes I talked about with nostr:nprofile1qywhwumn8ghj7mn0wd68ytnr09cxsetjwp6ku6eww3hkgcte9uq3xamnwvaz7tm0venxx6rpd9hzuur4vghszxnhwden5te0wpuhyctdd9jzuenfv96x5ctx9e3k7mf0qyt8wumn8ghj7un9d3shjtnddaehgu3wwp6kytcprdmhxue69uhhyetvv9ujumn0wd68yurvv438xtnrdakj7qpqm2mvvpjugwdehtaskrcl7ksvdqnnhnjur9v6g9v266nss504q7mqkzwtd3 was current state of assassination markets. TLDR - they are live and well, and it's far from the underground we originally imagined it would be. 1st, let's quote Jim Bell -
" Associated with each name would be a dollar figure, the total amount of money the organization has received as a contribution .... presumably naming the exact date .... "Guessers" would formulate their "guess" into a file, ....t more likely either a cascade of encrypted anonymous remailers ... it would be necessary to deter such random guessing by requiring the "guessers" to include with their "guess" encrypted and untraceable "digital cash," "
And now, let's look at this picture, and realize there is nothing missing. If anything, it got better because we no longer need diskettes or "remailing" ... but all is there

Thanks for suggestion , now I know what to actually google for hardware, but the prices are indeed something. I will try to see if I can go the VM route (will ahve to pass through a thunderbolt lane to a VM) and debug it on that level, or if I start looking for rentals
Tapping to collective hacker's mind - Is there any usbc/tb sniffer device, that can transparently tap in the physical connection, and show/record what data/video/audio mode is negotiated between the 2 devices ?
"To test for rabies, both animals were euthanized." o wow, it wasn't even because of the biting ... After 7 years, they kill your animal to "test it" ... wtf :/
So, they raid dudes house to rescue a squirrel he already rescued and had for 7+ years, only to kill it couple hours later? Now that's a proper definition of government success XD
Nostr is just torrents for text content anyway, may as well have full feature set :)
EN: A domain is a fiat asset.
That's why I've been recommending for years not to use a .sk domain and why I'm glad that, for example, Nostr identities don't have anything to do with domains (unlike fediverse or email).
The attached article is about a domain for the new brand of slovak tv and radio (another rebrand just to change the director) and how they took some student's domain for his personal blog, because of course state TV has bigger cock.
SK: Doména je fiat asset.
Preto už roky odporúčam nepoužívať sk doménu (viď kniha Hackni sa) a preto som rád, že napríklad Nostr identity nemajú nič s doménami (na rozdiel od fediverse alebo e-mailu).

Funny enough, in 2005 when another big national institution did the same, they actually renamed the new company, just so they don't have to pay me 500 Crowns (15 euro) that I asked for domain transfer lol XD
Prime example of the Nocoiner syndrome as analysed by nostr:nprofile1qythwumn8ghj7un9d3shjtnwdaehgu3wvfskuep0qy2hwumn8ghj7un9d3shjtnyv9kh2uewd9hj7qgwwaehxw309ahx7uewd3hkctcprfmhxue69uhkzun59ehx7um5wfn8yetpddejucm0d5hszgrhwden5te0vf5hgcm0d9hx6ctcd9kkzmrfwd68xtn0dekxjmn99uqzpphmupasy39ysqemgd47ez4yc2pw6wsxae7ec7hdyw09292qf6zauk7ax3 . Most likely, his blood pressure is rising faster than Bitcoin price up to this day.
I would wait for the price to be known and also to see what the Kickstarter actually covers. He seems to already have a functional prototype in the teaser video, so I suppose it is for sourcing and manufacturing of the electronics and technically, even if it fails, you should be able to DYI build this provided he makes the STL's and PCB design and schema public. I actually think this has a non-0 chance of survival we're just frankly better than 99.9999% of the rest of the whole Kickstarter.
The great work of Peter Horvath. nostr:note15yv99085zajkv0z0pk3vl40dn7tt884r3t3jtrpt3aswqq9nad2qvehrxu
We are pleased to announce our research paper "Nocoiner Syndrome", which analyzes this condition where individuals, especially those benefiting from the current financial system's Cantillon Effect, perceive early Bitcoin adopters as immoral.
It is based on a case study of certain individuals working for European Central Bank and investigating several "issues" with Bitcoin. As they have all the symptoms to be diagnosed with late progression of nocoiner syndrome, we decided to help people understand this condition and possible treatments.
Please spread widely to help those in need: https://cryptoanarchy.institute/nocoiner-syndrome-2024.pdf

Love the content, Mr Horvath is on a roll. Design is absolutely stunning as well.
There are 2 modes it operates in - Either you set it to fixed temp, or you have autopilot. Fixed temp works without any subscription, and you can double or triple tap side of the topper for +1/-1 degree regulation (it will vibrate back so you know what are you setting). Tbh, I am not sure this mode is worth it though, you could just get aliexpress topper that does the cooling for 300 bucks (or 500 for a posh one) or for winter, get a teleshopping electric bed heater for $30. With autopilot, it's a different story - you set the desired delta ambient, and it will try to keep it as close to set point as possible. If you heat up too much, it will cool more, instead of keeping the same fixed temp of the topper. It also has a bunch of sensors detecting your breath rate, snoring, hr, hrv and such (different to what i see on my watch, but it is very consistent I must say), and the heating/vibration alarm is really nice as well - it just slowly starts to heat up before your wakeup time, and/or vibrates gently. Way better than getting out of deep topor to the tune of an aggressive alarm. If you sleep good and just want some extra degree of warmth or cool and don't care about all the jazz, there are quite cheap solutions that will do the trick.
I've got11th gen intel nuc for 110 eur, which is less than PI cost. Added some cheap ddr4 and 2tb nvme. The drive I would have to get anyway, so it's just the price of ram as extra cost, but it packs A LOT more power than the pi has.
It is the most expensive piece of furniture I own, but it changed my life a LOT. Been a skeptical since its promoted on youtube as well, which usually isn’t a good sign. But after 5 months of usage, my sleep is on average 30min longer for same time in bed, and I am way more comfortable. Also, I already saved 1/3 of the price just on ac costs (i stopped running ac completely and just cool the bed), and once winter time hits, I will not have to heat the appartment so that will be good again (it rarely drops below 12 here, so noone has heated floor or radiators or insulation for that matter)
Which one :) International Atomic Time? Coordinate Universal Time? Or 20 other standards in use before we come to national ones?
For what it is, namecheap is quite good. As far as we tested (I work in gambling), they really throw government requests to the trashcan unless it is US gov issued, so unless you do something the bald eagles do not like, you can reasonably assume you will be fine. They do offer privacy hiding just as any other registar, but I would be cautious and not rely only on that considering your local gov seems to be very trigger happy. Since 1.1.2024, namecheap (or any other .com/.net/us domain registar) is obliged to pass on your actual user info to ICANN, which may be a 2nd angle for your home folk.
I am getting a lot of rejections when posting from coracle, but when I open it on Damus on my phone and resend, I see all fine (it also gets notifications way way faster for some reason)
I think the copy culture aspect and it not being available online makes it better. If you are online, you can listen now, and for the offline crowd you can always get it on conferences or try to snatch a copy (PoW :) ). Maybe you could try some dropboxes or local "seeders" on select conferences and such. How do you actually produce the copies? I suppose you run multiple decks at normal speed?
