Hey Derek, thanks for the reply! A nostr legend. Love it! That makes sense. I wonder how these people heard about nostr. Sounds like an opportunity for user growth.
I say this to everyone who is posting the bye Twitter posts. I believe it makes more sense to use your following to evangelize nostr on twitter. Not sure nostr survives without growth.
Hey #nostr, what’s driving new user growth right now? What’s your guess?
Fair. I'm out here trying to stick it to the system I guess. Also, I worry that if this doesn't get adoption that the incentive to develop on it will start to fade. Plus, we're stronger civilians when we are able to speak to each other. If no one's here, and everything else gets censored/banned how will anyone talk? However, I get the time component since it's limited. There are a few dynamics at play.
Im having a difficult time understanding why people are leaving x instead of using it to spread the good word about nostr.
Nope. Couldn’t have ever let it get that far.
When it's wide out in the open like this... You wonder what their strategy is. It's intentional. It must be for distraction and or support the divide and conquer objective.
A good balance for sure. I showed Grandma this video because she was sharing it weekly. It's a little "extra" but maybe not. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hh_rVpn3CIk
Birthday parties and activities seem to be the most difficult. I'm the same... paranoid in my group too. I showed grandma this video and got her to stop... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hh_rVpn3CIk
I knew this was the right place to ask. Thanks for the reply!
Same. I won't voluntarily allow it.
Agree. I think it comes down to the level of sophistication to your point. Technology will only get easier to use and things will get cheaper and easier to access. We know big tech and intelligence have them. AI and cheaper tech gives less sophisticated people access to it.
#nostr tell me what are your thoughts about sharing photos of your kids online? Considering AI, future facial recognition issues, etc. As a parent understanding the bleeding/cutting edge of this technology, what obligation do we have to our children to not share pictures of them on social media?
