GM Nostr, happy monday π

Date: so what are you in to?
Me: Vehemently orange-pilled, freshly having discovered Nostr, a new noderunner, and just opened my first lightning channels.

In two days I've discovered so many new ways to explore bitcoin through Nostr. It is actually wild how much there is out there once I had the right pieces in place to interact with this ecosystem.
Yeah thinking I'm going for a slight amount of redundancy on both receiving/spending style channels. All private since I have my training wheels on, but just trying to be robust π
ππ»ββοΈ Guessing that goes for both receiving and spending channels. LSPs seem geared towards increasing my receiving capacity while the...other kind seems to afford me spending liquidity.
Lightning is cool and owning your own node is the route to go for most people. But, if you haven't seen ecash in action, it's pretty cool too and I see it having a use for banks in the long run. Not everyone wants to/cares about self custody. nostr:nprofile1qqs9pk20ctv9srrg9vr354p03v0rrgsqkpggh2u45va77zz4mu5p6ccpzemhxue69uhk2er9dchxummnw3ezumrpdejz7qgkwaehxw309a5xjum59ehx7um5wghxcctwvshszrnhwden5te0dehhxtnvdakz7qrxnfk and the people working on it are fucking magicians.
Always another great unknown to discover within bitcoin - I'll check it out!
From the second I got my node working a few days ago, I went from a defensive posture - seeking to protect my privacy - to now suddenly on offense pursuing to bolster my self-sovereignty within bitcoin.
The node was a fundamental unlock π
In my pursuit to be my own bank on layer 1 I accidentally gifted the same thing to myself on layer 2 as well with my node.
Puzzled by why I never cared about the lightning part from the get-go, albeit grateful to be empowered.
Private #noderunners, redundancy in LSP channels: dumb or smart? Amount of receiving capacity seems totally overkill from even just one fat my current level, but should there be at least two to mitigate downed channel risk?
(sorry I'm a complete plebn00b)
Dude how deep does this rabbit hole go, every time I reach a personal milestone in #bitcoin it just shines a light on the next superstructure.
I continue to marvel at the variety of it all. Bitcoin is such a smattering of new/old, tactile/intellectual concepts. Stamping seeds, perusing githubs, it's a trip engaging with it in the real and digital realms. It's wholly new, and yet I find pockets of knowledge/people that feel timeless and precious.
What I'm saying is we're having fun out here gang WE. ARE. HAVING. FUN!
GM NOSTR
#gm #catstr
The whiplash from the joy of reaching #noderunner status to realizing how much I have to learn if I want to pursue public channels and be one of the good ones.
A stranger on the internet called me #noderunner today and I think I don't need therapy anymore
Not sure why nobody got back to you but I can confirm that you can run that bad boi with a 2 TB ssd. Fit fine in the nostr:nprofile1qythwue69uhhyetvv9ujuumwdae8gtnnda3kjctvqyf8wumn8ghj7ur4wfcxcetsv9njuetnqqs03eyq7ja4xlavcx7m6qs0dhh6zdht650s27u4ldq9p039yncucycysufr6 case for the Raspiblitz too:

Me anxiously broadcasting my first on-chain #bitcoin transaction through my node... and realizing I had accidentally unlocked Nostr/Lightning synergy in the process
Absolute banger for the #catstr crowd
