This might be a bit corny but helps me start my day being grateful for being alive. In the morning as my one foot touches the ground I say ‘thank’ then the other foot ‘you’. I also have a gratitude trot but I’ll save that for another note 😂

True, your point is well taken, but parents have the vast majority of the time with their children and can build strong bonds and plant seeds along the way. Im trying my best to raise a self aware human who has a decent head on their shoulders that can think for themselves.

I imagine that too, possibly in many different forms. For me it’s not worrying about battery life, it’s just a reminder to live every moment to the fullest, to love deeply and be authentic, keep the important things in my awareness.

Imagine if our remaining time on earth was displayed as a power bar, much like in a video game. At birth, the bar is full, representing our typical life expectancy. However, as we go through life, the bar constantly decreases, reminding us of the fleeting nature of our existence. It's also important to remember that the power bar can abruptly end, game over, at any moment, emphasizing the need to appreciate every moment as a true gift and not get caught up in trivialities and inconveniences.
Reminding myself of this helps me be aware of our short time here, to live an intentional life, appreciate the little things and focus on the important.
Looking up at the night sky has a similar effect, I often wonder what the heck are we doing here? 😂
