Shill me your best resources/setups for using lightning in a easy, self-custodial and private way
That’s what I meant with „genuinely interested“. I condemn the cooperation of wasabi with chain anal. But I have a feeling the the adress reuse thing is an extreme provoked edge case. Hinting a weak coinjoin protocol but not really relevant in a practical use scenario
Don’t blame the user! I am talking about symmetric address reuse (same address used on both sides of the transaction)
What is your take on address reuse on this protocol? It’s provable right? You probably consider it as fud. I’m genuinely interested in your take
Bin nicht so der Kosmopolit. Englisch üben schadet nie.
Yeah I agree. Like I said, it’s usable. I use it more and more. The innovative spirit in lightning is very impressive.
But I keep my opinion: Lightning is not bitcoin and custodial lightning is barely a improvement to online legacy banking apps.
It’s usable, especially in a custodial way. But it hasn’t really been attacked. Only by bitcoiners doing 998 of 999 multisig taproot transactions.
Nevertheless leaving sats for the amazing nodesignal podcast

Get your compliance coinjoin with wasabi and transact afterwards with LNURL but only with providers that censor „bad“ countries. And don’t forget to block on-chain transactions with the wrong information.
The absolute state of bitcoin 2023
ZeroTier or Tailscale?
Valid point. Bitcoin is different things to different people. For me it’s about asking permission from no one…
But yeah. Guess I am experimenting
I used to make fun of this argument of small amounts and still think is stupid. Why should I let go of the main value prop of btc „for small amounts?“
Whatever thanks to those zaps for that note I will die as a rich whore.
I‘m experimenting with nostr rn and I am using a custodial lightning wallet with #[0] s instruction
I have a mixture of feelings ranging from guilt to shame to embarrassment
Am I still a sovereign bitcoiner or a NgU whore?
Is there active development to increase the privacy while using nostr. RN I am stuck with use Tor or a vpn and proxy Relays…
Anything on the horizon?
Of course... LN provide us a strong privacy cleaning machine when using own private node. I agree..! Theres good privacy guide at Darthcoin's substack sites out...

For Whirlpool i only use the Samourai service from out the Sparrow Wallet implementation at least since i read all the bad Wasabi related information.
Sparrow supports all the sweet privacy features we can get! The most favorite Software to handle our utxo's right...

To the coordinator side i cant tell much about the deep insides as i dont be a software coder. But i know that Sparrow handle that service connection very strength and if a coordinator get a mixing client's utxo and the mix round doesnt get complete trough an error from myself or one of the peers, like disconnect or trouble with tor than Sparrow dont reuse the same address and input for the new service registration to the coordinator. Thats one of the great deals only... its very strong that the coordinator can track the idendity behind the registered utxo's....
Thanks. Article on LN is great. Though I want to vomit if I read something like this:“Even if you buy from a full verified account with your identity, you can always say "ups, I lost them".
We’re turning in circles. I will happily use wasabi if they’ll stop attacking Bitcoin and it’s ethos.
🌀 obsolete? No signs for that. But to calm the waves: I really like the idea of bringing a coinjoin implementation to btcpay. So if you spin up a non compliant coordinator and provide decent liquidity I am in.
Based on your technical understanding I assume the person behind your nym is nopara. Sorry for the doxx.
Since liquidity pool and coordinator are one, it makes a big difference in privacy what coordinator I use.
