I'm working on a post which explains everything, but if you're already boned up on ray cats let's all rock out to this one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=amn3kn0XPLQ

reminder that lo, this slappeth. Mog introduced me to Public Service Broadcasting and if you like a bit of trip-hop, they're superb. https://soundcloud.com/psbhq/london-can-take-it-1

Tech continues to kick my ass. I used Traefik for ingress for years, then they dicked about and made the OSS offering unsustainable.

So I switched to Gloo. Which worked fine. Now I find that using Gloo as just an ingress has become awful.

And Traefik has gone back to what it was before. Madness.

Well this is going to be a stinker. If you’re using nginx ingress a) you can’t trust other pods right now and b) just grow up and use a proper ingress like Traefik

I am constantly blown away by how groundbreaking TOS was. In the era of Jim Crow, Dr. Richard Daystrom was a Black man with an understanding of computers, far beyond even Spock.

He was unquestionably capable and demanding of respect. And his name followed computing in Trek forever after.

I mean it would be a disservice to call this one a banger, but it is an incredible track.

Play loud, with plenty of bass.

Please stop using Flutter. I know the idea of “write once, run anywhere” is tempting. But it really doesn’t do native properly. It works fine until it doesn’t.

Just pick a platform. If that means I can’t use your app, I’ll live with that.

`python -c "from __future__ import braces"`

We can but dream.

PSA: if you're building a new infrastructure-as-code codebase or looking to build one for yourself, I cannot recommend [Pulumi](https://pulumi.com) enough. Feature parity with Terraform - they generate many providers directly from Terraform, and some directly from the upstream provider's API docs.

FAO anyone who needs to hear it for their Ruby tinkering:

`irb ` ❌

`pry` ✅

Fun with AI. Wanted it to filter a YAML file for me. Prompt "filter dnsimple_zones.yml for system_record: false".

First tried feeding it to Warp. That.. didn't work. As in, for some reason it decided to turn the YAML into a Bind zone file.

Cursor understood the assignment. But a zone file? Blimey.

I will defend found footage to the death. In no other genre can have have a great idea, and make a whole film around that idea without any budget to speak of.

Sure, it benefits from cash - what doesn't - but you CAN make a great film for 50p and some string. That has massive value in itself.

You know, even five years ago, being able to do this and expect it to be able to extract the text, be accurate, and be correct, was unthinkable. Never mind interpreting the meaning of the image. https://cdn.nostrcheck.me/9a48e66ec6a813050f31911d595d5ad76db512b45b2edec6bee73a9fbbd4aca7/63603b2450873faef321dc031cafc9eec9b3d88a33c9b7ec65a3e46333087806.webp

I cannot tell you how badass [Sunsama](https://www.sunsama.com) is.

I am allergic to daily planning and GTD. This thing is incredible.

Especially if you’re syncing in work from Notion and GitHub and schedules out to Google Calendar like me, but operates perfectly well all on its own.

Excellent.

Been looking into low effort and high impact options for code scanning on GitHub.

The two that I’ve found that work well, regardless of language of the repository, are Codacy and DevSkim, both of which can output SARIF.
