Thanks Shawn. I'm not a software dev so the nostr connection doesn't help as much. I'm now a flailing telecom middle-manager and no one wants to hire one, so I'm working on pivoting to cybersecurity. Got myself a couple new certs, studying for more, and finding myself looking for some IT positions closer to entry level to build myself back up again.

Had a moment this morning where it felt like everything is falling apart and I'll never get back on my feet. Being laid off is hard. Job hunting in today's tech market is hard.

I stopped for a moment to remind myself that I'm healthy, my family is healthy, we live in a nice house in a nice neighborhood, and there's a lot of love in here.

Life is good. Sometimes it takes a moment to remember it, but life is good.

Hi I’m Brandon and here’s a little about me.

1) Yes that’s my wife, not sure how I got that lucky

2) We have 5 kids together, and my favorite saying is, “Yeah can’t keep my wife off of me,” even though that’s about 99% inaccurate.

3) I’m a Veteran

4) Currently in school for Sonography, even though I feel way too old for a new career.

5) I’m addicted to saving recipes that I convince myself that I will use, only to buy the same groceries that I’ve been buying for the past 10 years.

6) Love watching UFC, not so much paying for it.

7) My biggest fear is the Mark of the Beast and if I’ll be able to know what it is, and resist it.
