Isnt it a bit of a category error to equate prehistoric tools to "open source developers"?
What does "being real" mean? In my experience its said by people who are trying to justify indulging in their basest instincts: rude rather than polite, selfish rather than genenerous, lazy rather than hard-working, disloyal rather than loyal.
People dont need to be real, they need to be better.
yeah agree I never understood why the dude who got rich on the toxic cesspool that is twitter gets so much of a pass with bitcoiners around here except that he donated a tiny fraction of his wealth to nostr development early on. Not that I think he owes anyone anything, but it sure didnt take much to erase everyones memory about what be built at twitter and the censorship that took place on his watch.
We all can be redeemed though so I cant hold it too much against him.

Re border: I always thought libertarians were some of the most consistent people who took their principles all the way to their logical conclusion. For example, the ones Ive read advocate for a completely wide open border.
