I tried to run a lightning node once it was a massive PITA so I ended up going with a custodial wallet like the rest of the world does. Its all good though only a small amounts of sats for zapping so if they rug me oh well. If I need to do bigger purchases Id prob just use Strike.

I think thats because built into our very nature is an recognition that things arent the way they're supposed to be...the world is broken. And so we long for something better (hope) and love the beautiful, those parts of the world that *are* good and properly ordered.
