Pro human flourishing. Anti monetary debasement, government/corporate surveillance, and postmodernism. Freedom to, not freedom from. Eikon Tou Theou.

Agree. They are captured by a destructive ideaology that says their identity is valid only when affirmed by others...hence the dramatic attention-seeking you mentioned.

We know their sex, and they know we know...even when some of us lie to them with the best of intentions...and so its a losing proposition from the start. Its so sad but completely logical that they have such high suicide rates regardless of "transition"

Coin.os is fantasti! My go to for looping out only 0.1% fee

Its awfully hard not to be cynical and presume this proclamation was intentionally planned for this particular year of his 4-year presidency.

I have deep compassion for people with gender dysphoria, and agree they are entitled to full rights same as everyone.

But to co-opt Easter, a celebration of the one thing that truly fixed our broken world, is a travesty.

Feds ordered Google to disclose names, addresses, telephone numbers, user activity, and IP addresses of accounts of people who watched certain Youtube videos and live streams as part of an investigation into an alleged bitcoiner operating a "money laundering" service of selling bitcoin for cash.

Should be:

Bro Im actually GenX too..but does that matter to my kids when I tell them about how badly modern stuff sucks? Nope. They just say "ok boomer."

I have huge respect for nostr:npub17u5dneh8qjp43ecfxr6u5e9sjamsmxyuekrg2nlxrrk6nj9rsyrqywt4tp for doing something he thought "terrifying" and going on nostr:npub1g3ra9r7duxrh8q0l2l08ku73ptdfgr0z376mvc2earlfhm6s6xxss8lnnz's podcast to talk about issues outside his core competencies. It was a cordial discussion that touched on a range of topics like epistemology, textual criticism, dogmatism, and of course the similarities between bitcoin culture with religion.

A lot of Christians can relate to Jameson's journey: we learn Christian truths as a young person and then later grapple with deeper worldview issues that seem to undermine Christianity. Jordan did a great job responding to Jameson's points, but I would just add this for anyone on a similar journey: It helps to recognize that our cultural moment favors scientism/naturalism and this heavily influences how we determine whether ideas are "true." This tendency is particularly strong in people whose careers are in the hard/empirical sciences like computer science.

Setting aside the major problems of scientism and naturalism as epistemologies, believers should always remember that there is truly nothing new under the sun. All the modern "defeaters" of Christianity are not modern at all and thanks to the internet, we have easy access to thoughtful counterpoints to all reasonable objections to Christianity.

And JLopp I pray you keep searching/contemplating sir!

Christ is risen. He is risen indeed.
