Why is there not much talk about Bitcoin reaching a new ATH against gold. Is this not a better measure than the USD value? #Bitcoin
For mass adoption of Lightning, easy solutions will need to be made available. I am using Strike as well as Aqua wallet. I also use Zeus and run my own node and channel. Running nodes and channel management is not for everyone. As much as itās not liked by many, solutions like Liquid will need to be accepted for mass adoption. Not everyone can run nodes and manage channels. It will get easier I am sure but right now itās not.
I am using Aqua wallet for smaller amounts. Liquid is a side chain using a federation model with a 11 of 15 multisig. You can swap BTC in for Liquid BTC. Once there you can send either via the liquid network or via lightning. Itās not self custody but having a 11 of 15 multisig makes it safer than trusting just one entity. I think of the āeasyā options for using lightning itās a reasonable one. I also use Strike, however, I am trusting my BTC with just one entity. Of these options I would not leave more than a smaller amount of BTC on them. Running a node and managing your own channels is the best way but may be too technical for mass adoption. I run my own node and opened my own channel. I use Zeus as a wallet option. It wasnāt an easy task setting it all up.
Lightning is fantastic. Although running your own node and channels are probably beyond most peopleās abilities right now. Solutions such as Liquid Network will need to be used even though itās not self sovereign.
I would guess that that number also represents the percentage of Microsoft stock owners who have done any research on Bitcoin.

When I looked at the site it did not seem to me that it costs $99 to use Nostr. It clearly says itās a presale for a signing device. Maybe the Dev didnāt look too hard.

Iām currently using Primal as my main Nostr app, along with Olas (in testing) and OxChat (which is very minimal). very much like using X, Instagram, and WhatsApp.
Iāve noticed that younger generations primarily use apps that support group chats. For example, my children use Instagram to chat with their friends. This got me thinkingāwhat if there was a Nostr app that integrated the best features of all three? Imagine having Primal with the group chat capabilities of Olas and the simplicity of OxChat.
To attract younger users to Nostr, I believe apps need to offer something better or at least as good as the traditional apps theyāre used to. One key feature, in my opinion, is group chat, which has become essential for socializing online. If nothing else, Nostr apps should support this feature to better appeal to todayās users.

Good points. Thank you. I do think that more thought before posting would be a good idea for many. Absolutely agree, Privacy for the people.
Another view point. When you talk face to face to a person or a group of people, once you say something it canāt be edited or deleted. Although a face to face conversation flows at a much faster pace than typing a post online. Not having the ability to delete or edit may make people think more before pressing the send button. You have the time to do so.
I am still open minded about having edits / deletes.
You are not measuring how much Bitcoin you can get for a USD. You are measuring how many USDās you can get for a Bitcoin. Bitcoin is the Unit of Account. #bitcoin.
