FIRE people invest in indexes like VTSAX in order to save and grow their money over time.
An index like VTSAX is a culmination of many different stocks in companies.
Where indexes get their strength is in some sense their passive management which outperforms actively managed mutual funds, and is essentially the sum of all human innovation within the companies of those stocks.
But since VTSAX and many other indexes are denominated in Dollars, the indexes are at best maintaining their Dollars buying power, but Vanguard and the like are run by people and still under the perview of the government which means a third party can destroy your index investment on a whim.
Bitcoin is, in some sense, the apex index investment. Since Bitcoin is the index of all human innovation of its users, it is a far more comprehensive index of human innovation than VTSAX, never stops trading unlike VTSAX and other index investments, can't be confiscated like VTSAX if self-custodied, and unlike the securities held in indexes like VTSAX, has a hard capped supply, and unlike indexes, is not centrally or politically controlled.
Bitcoin is the new apex index "investment" and will exceed VTSAX and all other indexes in return on investment forever because it is a superior index of all human innovation compared to fiat based indexes like VTSAX.

Most people are focused on how they live their lives, that is, how they take action. They call it "mission." But mission means little unless it is serving a vision.

The combination of the individual's Heaven on Earth converts the world into Heaven on Earth. Truth money is so powerful that it will help people, because of its incentives and constraints, to bring that vision of Heaven on Earth to pass.
