I watch the FED like a hawk because I want to end them and I need to know my enemy.

anyhow

Does the end justify the anyhow?

Yeah, good idea to make it myself. 6th wedding anniversary coming up and the rules say I can give candy. Any suggestions?

Also, der gigi is here and he wrote a book I’m reading.

It happens sometimes. I’ve written things here that were wrong. Everybody makes the spelling/grammar stuff, but I was angry about something that was just a miscommunication. That stuff happens too. But the thing that bothers us most is the ones who shill shitcoins and then act like they never did. So if you didn’t do that, don’t worry. 💜

Purq vida (pure life)

I’m starting to get excited about the next halfining. Here’s why.

The soldiers come out of the trojan horse, and there’s no putting them back in. The annual increase of supply being at about 0.8% further cements Bitcoin’s supremacy in regards to hardness. No physical asset or fiat can sustain that hardness when human actions are involved.

Which human actions? Searching for or mining more gold, oil, building more improvement on real estate? Sure, but more sinister is the wars that are constantly being extended for several years, since we’re realized we can just print government currencies to fund them.

There will be a clear line in the sand between Bitcoin and everything else. We won’t have people easily mining Bitcoin and getting rich as a distraction (the trojan horse.) And really that’s not a good narrative to compare to how governments can print. People will realize there’s no going back. Might be harder to withdraw from an exchange. Ant then, we win.

I think it’s already recognizable worldwide. But yeah, I think I’m good with it, but I don’t consider myself an artist.

IF I only had fiat after this long day’s work, I’d have only hope of change.

Because I have immutable property, I can progress. I will continue accordingly.

Yeah, I noticed that when switching clients/relays. Just sticking with damus and current relays until I can’t zap anymore, unless I completely move over to my graphene os phone.

Welcome to nostr, new nostriches!

The nostr protocol and decentralization are the future of social communication.

The current state of social communication is dominated by a handful of large, centralized platforms. These platforms have a great deal of power over the way we communicate and interact with each other. They can decide what content is allowed on their platforms, and they can even censor or ban users at will.

Protocols. Not platforms. 🤝

This centralization of power has led to a number of problems:

Privacy concerns: Centralized social media platforms collect a vast amount of data about their users. This data can be used to track users' activities, target them with advertising, and even influence their behavior.

Censorship: Centralized social media platforms often censor content that they deem to be controversial or offensive. This has led to accusations of bias and suppression of free speech.

Security risks: Centralized social media platforms are a major target for cyber-attacks. These attacks can result in the theft of user data and even the disruption of service itself.

A decentralized social communication protocol offers a solution to these problems. Decentralized social communication is not controlled by a single entity. Instead, bits and pieces of the protocol are spread across the Internet, ran by independent server operators and independent developers. This makes open protocols like nostr much more difficult for anyone to censor, control the content, or take it down.

Freedom will win. We just have to build it.

Thank you for joining us. 💜

This is why we use nostr. This is why we are excited for nostr's future.

Great explanation Derek.

Do you know of any websites that do a good job of comparing different relays by number of users or privacy? Any relays that share a privacy policy?

It’s been a rough week.

Sorry for bad posts early this morning.

Looks like there was some sort of problem with my tg group, but I’m back on the local Bitcoin meetup and now have a better understanding of what this community means to me.

Better days ahead.
