The not-shadowbanning-shadowbanning forced Blocklist seems to be an amethyst only thing, not sure it's on other clients. I have no idea about what they've done in the past. I've never heard of any of these people tbh lol. I'm just a silly lil meme account lol ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Lol I think part of it, I *kind of get*. People don't want to poo poo on anything here, it's nascent and evolving etc etc. However I find it odd there isn't a 'uuuh wait, what??' moment for these couple of things. It's barely mentioned. I went a searched global for even the mention and found that thread, cos I thought I couldn't be the only one whose spider senses went off lol

I would say a form of shadowbanning is already here, I've seen it on amethyst (no idea if other clients do this).

In the form of adopted blocklists. Content is hidden as 'spam' if someone (apparently it seems to be 5+ people's, but it may also be popular accounts) in the your network reports/blocks or reports spam, even if it is not spam. It assumes you will also want to not see the content.
