I think anyone who doesn't want individual freedom will try to take it away from you.
To not have that goal as a platform means this place will be no different from the one everyone else ran away from.
That I do.. but so is America (assuming you live there). Ultimately it's the people and culture that make the place.
Because individual freedom is not a terrible goal to have. A person is are either for it or against it.
Shit does hide well. It's relatively not a shit country compared to some of it neighbours. Also a matter of opinion of someone that lives in it. If it were truly shit, I wouldn't live in it.

It does matter because you are either for freedom or not.
Do you even know what it is?
Is freedom not a common goal?
Is freedom not a exemplary unified goal? You don't want everyone to get behind it?
So that's what you get out of a simple question? Let me make a suggestion, don't make any assumptions on people you know nothing about on your own feed.
If Nostr had a unified/unifying goal, what would it be?
I ask because I guarantee you, if it didn't have one that everyone could get behind, it's going to turn into a dumpster fire like the others.
And because wherever people congregate, it will always turn to shit.
For the meat eaters, you say you may not have it in you to hunt animals for food. You maybe even be completely against it but you still eat dead animals - bloodless and packaged nicely at the market.
Maybe we all need to be reminded of the reality when tech gives us quick and painless ways to pass sats. It becomes a magnet for people who beg. Create some fake sad stories for sats because people will give it willingly without question.. “it’s just a small amount”, you say? But when there are thousands who give, that small amount becomes significant.
Think twice and let’s not incentivise the lazy and opportunistic .
